? <br />3. Home Depot; 2624 Great Northern Shopping Center: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal for sign package. <br />The following variance will be needed: <br />1). A variance of 342' Square Feet for sign face area, for wall sign #l. <br />2). A variance of 2' feet in height for wall sign 91. <br />3). A variance of 158.3 square feet of sign face area for a business unit. <br />4). A variance of 6" inches in Height for a canopy sign. <br />5). A variance to install a second wall sign (wall sign #Z). <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.11 (C) and 1163.12 (A) &(D). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Ms. <br />Capron, who presented the proposal. Mr. Gomersall reviewed the variances asked for and asked Ms. <br />Capron to review the requests. Ms. Capron indicated the request is to have 6' feet pole letters on the <br />front of the building, the indoor lumber yard which will have 2' foot letters, and a nursery sign. Mr. <br />Gomersall suggested the indoor lumber sign will not be visible, the board members were there and the <br />roof that is over it makes it impossible to see. It is the boards opinion that it is useless. Ms. Capron <br />suggested the boards opinion was noted, but the clients want it. Mr. Maloney asked why the "The" had <br />to be on the sign. N1r. Rymarczyk indicated "The Home Depot" is the correct name of the company. No <br />further comments were made. <br />T. Koberna moved to grant Home Depot; 2624 Great Northern Shopping Center; Their request for <br />variance (1123.12). <br />1). Proposal for temporary sign. <br />The following variance is needed. <br />A Variance to install a temporary mobile sign from 14, Dec. to 22, Dec. 1998 <br />Which is a Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12 (g). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Costello, the owner of Hobby's Etc.. Mr. Gomersall asked Mr. Costello if the sign was purchased yet. <br />Mr. Costello indicated he had not purchased the sign as he wanted to make sure it was approved first. <br />Mr. Gomersall indicated you have come every year for your permits and variances, and this board has no <br />problem with this request. No further comments were made. <br />T. Koberna moved to grant Hobby's Etc.; 23609 Lorain Road: his request for variance (1123.12). A <br />Variance to install a temporary mobile sign from 14, Dec. to 22, Dec. 1998. Which is a Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12 (g). The motion was seconded by J. Konold, and unanimously <br />approved. Variance Granted.
