Konold moved to grant Sandy Beach; 4621 Great Northern Blvd., her request for variance <br />(1123.12). Proposal is to erect a business sign. <br />1). A 5 foot 6 inch variance for north party wall (1163.04-A); and <br />2). A 16 square foot variance for business use signage (1163.11-C). <br />Which is a Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.04 (A) and 1163.11 (C). The motion was <br />seconded by J. Maloney, and unanimously approved. Variances Granted. <br />7) Staxbucks: 24950 Lorain Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request a variance to install one additional wall sign. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Bizjak. Mr. Gomersall reviewed the variances being requested, and questioned Mr. Conway as to <br />what Starbuck$ maximum allowable square footage for total signage. Mr. Conway indicated <br />Starbucks submittal is within the amount they are allowed. Mr. Gomersall Indicated he thought <br />another sign would be to much. Mr. Bizjak asked what the board would like to see. Mr. Koberna <br />suggested a smaller size should be used. Mr. Bizjak reviewed the additional sign which would be a <br />logo and showed exactly were it would be located on the site map. No further questions were <br />asked. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Starbucks; 24950 Lorain Road, their request for variance (1123.12). <br />A 24" inch variance to install one additional wall sign. Which is a Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1163.12. Further more the applicant agrees to the 24" inch in diameter logo size which the board <br />suggested. The motion was seconded by W. Kremzar, and unanimously approved. Variance <br />Granted_ <br />8) Kathleen & William Carlin; 4450 Porter Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal to erect an additional garage that will be detached from <br />the home. Request the following variance(s): <br />1). A 565 square foot variance for area of garages in combination which exceed 750 square foot <br />maximum area permitted. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (C) (3). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Carlin. Mr. Gomersall reviewed the variances being asked for. Mr. Carlin indicated we have <br />decided to moved the garage in 5' feet so we will not need a side yard variance. Mr. Gomersall <br />asked if there were any further questions from the board members or the audience. No further <br />questions were asked. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Kathleen & William Carlin; 4450 Porter Road, their request for <br />variance (1123.12). Proposal to erect an additional garage that will be detached from the home. -'? <br />1).
