100ft. of fence that was totally destroyed and was laying in my backyard as well as my neighbors we
had to call our council women that acted on it and the city acted on it and they were told that they had
to replace the fence, they did and you can still see the trucks they are well over a 6ft. fence, I went back
there tonight I saw 10 or 11 trucks parked back there, the fence in the comer of my backyard is already
bent and pushed in from another truck pushing into it, so they can't protect the fence from being
busted, and you can still see them over the fence, if they could put up some kind of concrete post there
three foot high or something like that so trucks can't back into it, I can see that they are going to keep
lmoclang it down all the time, then people start cutting through the yards and we don't like it, I've
talked to other neighbors we don't like it at all. Mr. Gomersall stated if you only had eight you
wouldn't even be back there along that south side line, I tlunk to go along the back line, my own
feelings would be to put up a 7 foot fence board on board and make a big shield back there, but as Mr.
Hanslik said if they are going to keep backing into it and snap it off it doesn't do much good, you
would have to put cement things in there. Mr. Kobema asked don't you have standardize trucks, does
this North Olmsted unit going to have three 20ft. and is there a standard order. Mr. Schwarts stated it
really varies on the demand of the customers so it does us no good to park trucks that make us no
money, so the goal is to put as many vehicles as there are customers.. Mr. Kobema stated when you
back those up there is no way you could put up concrete blocks or bumper strips or what ever. Mr.
Schwarts stated that is definitely an option, we do have the concrete barriers the low ones, but those
don't always protect the area, the previous fence got destroyed we used to back trucks in and people
cant judge well backing in so since then we have changed and they are parked forwards, and the
incident that happened over the weekend were the fence got hit was the first one that has happened
since December so, and we will repair that, it really didn't get lmocked down it just got bent. Mr.
Gomersall stated if we give you 8 parking slots you wouldn't be putting anything back there any more.
Mr. Schwarts stated on the South side yes. Mr. Konold stated it looks like to me your going 'to
increase your business, and I was there today and there is not a whole lot of room back there, you start
backing in there and you have to twist and turn, then you get a few trucks back there and there is less
room, and that is why they are backing into the fence, its really close quarters when you get 4 or 5
trucks backed in there. Mr. Schwarts stated along the east next to the fence it is all straight back in.
Mr. Gomersall asked so what are you going to do with those trucks that have no parlang space or the
big ones how are they going to fit in there on the east side. Mr. Schwarts stated we have made
anangements with Berea that if we get an overflow of trucks we will have them taken to Berea. Mr.
Gomersall stated I'm talking about the big ones the 24 footers what are you going to do with them, you
have two of them there right now so what are you going to do with it you can't pull them straight in I
don't see how. Mr. Schwarts stated on the far back east side you can park one or two, but we have
found that the demand in this area is for the smaller vehicles, its apartment and light commercial. Mr.
Gomersall stated if the board would grant you 8 what are you going to do with the 4 trucks you have
12 there right now. Mr. Schwarts stated they would be immediately be taken to either dispatched.or
taken to Berea we would insure that in no time would there be more then 8. Mr. Gomersall stated I'm
sure the building departtnent is going to in force that. Mr. Konold stated even with just 8 trucks I mean
will that solve the fence problem, say you have 8 trucks will that solve it. Mr. Schwarts stated I tlunk
it will we clidn't have any incident on the fence since it was put in until this weekend we will be happy
to look into putting up concrete barriers for something that would prevent the trucks from hitting.the
fence. Mr. Gomersall stated the fence on the east side will have to be repaired. Mr. Rymarczyk stated
if you park a 24 ft. truck there you will be blocking up the drive lane too because right now those
parlang areas are only 18 ft. deep, and they will be over hanging into the drive. Mr. Gomersall stated
there will be no over night parking at all of 24 footers. Mr. Rymarczyk stated plus you do have 2
mains of parking in there which both should be 18 feet deep plus a 22 foot drive at a minimum so you
are looking at needula 58 ft. from the fence over to the building to the walk area I don't know if you
have more then that there and I doubt that you do.
