suggested that the proposal would be tabled until the next meeting. In the meantime the board
would like to see a complete landscape plan. Mr. Tallon indicated that he was offended that an
absent owner thought he could violate the City Ordinances and think the board wouldn't want to
see him present at the meetings. Mr. Schill indicated that the current landscaping plans would
incorporate larger size trees to the landscaping. Mr. Brennan commented that he felt that if the
complete shopping center was going to be refaced than the proposal should include the entire
shopping centers plans. There are 5 other stores in the shopping center, why weren't there plans
showing all the changes that would be made to them submitted. Mr. Schill suggested that there
would only be 4 other tenants in the center. Mr. Brennan questioned if only Thomasville's
elevations would be changed and questioned what other changes would be made to the rest of
the center. Mr. Schill indicated that he would include the entire center on the new plans and that
he would make sure the owner was present at the next meeting. Councilman McKay indicated
that he was present on behalf of Michael Gareau Jr. as well as himself regarding the matter of
the owner removing the trees. He strongly suggested that by the time the proposal went before
Board of Zoning and Development the matter of the trees should be resolved. There are quite a
few Councilmen that are upset about the trees being removed and they don't want to see
saplings put in their place.
R. Tallon Motioned to table Thomasville Furniture of 27336 Lorain Road and their proposal
which consists of remodeling the front elevation, installing landscaping, and a Pylon sign until
the next regularly scheduled Planning Corrunission meeting. The motion was seconded by, W.
Spalding and unanimously approved. Proposal Tabled.
NOTE: At this point in the meeting Chairman Tallon announced that the board would address
Old Business as there was a few ladies present that would like to speak. He indicated that it
would only take a few minutes. The summarization of this conversation is under Old Business.
5) Shore West Construction Companv 5961 Louis Drive:
Proposal consists of the construction of 23 single family cluster units on the existing 4.9421
acre parcel abutting View I'oint DeveYopment single family cluster units. The parcel is currently
zoned single family residential and applicant request the parcel be rezoned single family cluster.
Chairman Tallon called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Neil Bower,
the property owner, came forward to present the proposal. Mr. Neil Bower indicated that he
would like to combine the parcel in which his former home was located on with the ViewPoint
community that has been developed over the last few years. The history on the parcel is that in
1993 part of his property was combined with the community and the remainder was were he
resided. As he has moved from his home he would like to combine the remainder of the parcel
which is 5 acres to the existing cluster area. They would like to build the same cluster homes
that are presently in the community. The only property that would be developed is the 5 acres.
He indicated that his brothers parcel would not be developeci it would remain as it is. There are
two lots on I,ouis Drive that they would like to combine and build a single family home on. T'he
plan is a reconfiguration of three lots and the original development, wYuch would be additional
20 cluster homes on the 5 acres. Mr. Koeth asked Mr. Bower to show the board where the
house was located on the site plan. Mr. Bower indicated that the existing home were located on
10
