Mr. Schill, the
architect came forward to present the proposal. Mr. Schill indicated that Thomasville Furniture
is now the main tenant in the Olmsted shopping center. They would like to renovate the entire
shopping center as well as design an entrance that will give them visibility from Lorain Road.
The shopping center sits back 250 feet off of Lorain Road. They would like to have a higher
fagade, similar to Norwalk Furniture. Presently there is wood shaped shingles on a mansard
roof that will be removed. The new shingles that will be used are dimensional asphalt shingles
in the front center. The new entrance for Thomasville will be constructed of ceramic tile, from
about 10 feet up from the sidewalk, and an efface pediment with the Thomasville logo put in
place. The store will be used for display purposes only; therefore no furniture will be
warehoused in the building. As far as truck traffic is concerned, it will be minimal. The heaviest
truck traffic will take place right before the store opens to get the display furniture in the
building. The existing 24 foot pole sign will be removed and replaced with a pylon sign. The
entire property will be re-landscaped, and two landscape islands will be placed at the front
entrance. Mr. Tallon suggested that the tenants wanted a better view and inquired if there was a
representative present from Thomasville. 1V1r.
