Gomersall motioned to strike the earlier motion of tabling David John Van Sach of 5059
Douglas Dr. and to review the proposal tonight. The motion was seconded by, J. Maloney.
unanimously approved.
J. Konold motioned to grant David John Van Sach of 5059 Douglas Dr his request for
variance 1123.12 which consists of a shed and that the following variance be granted as
amended: A 5 foot variance for rear setback (code requires 10 foot, applicant shows 5 foot).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125, section 1135.02. The motian was seconded by J.
Maloney and unanimously approved. Variance Granted.
5. Ed & Marv Zarefoss; 28405 N. Park Dr.
Request for variance 1123.12. The proposal consists of construction of accessory structure.
The following variances are requested:
l. A 300 foot variance for accessory structure (code permits 200 square feet, applicant
shows 500 square feet), section 1135.02 (d)(1).
2. A 2 foot (plus) variance for height of structure (code permits 12 feet, applicant shows 14
foot (plus)), section 1135.02 (d) (3).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125, sections 1135.02 (d) (1) and (d) (3).
NOTE: Plans shall be drawn to scale and shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the extent
of work to be done prior to issuing a building permit.
Chairman Ciomersall called all interested parties forward to review the variances requested.
The oath was administered to Mr. Zarefoss the applicant who came forward. Mr. Zarefoss
suggested that the size on the notice was incorrect as the accessory structure would only be
400sqft. as it is a 20x20 foot structure, not SOOsqft. as indicated. Mr. Conway commented
that the reason the write-up showed SOOsqft was because the existing structure is 100sqft.
which is added to the total square footage of land that will be covered. Mr. Zarefoss
suggested that the structure would be used for storage of his motorcycle, seasonal tools and
wood working equipment that he owns. Mr. Maloney questioned if there would be a garage
type door put on the structure. Mr. Zarefoss answered "no" the door would be a double hung
door 73" x 83" in size: Mr. Konold commented that he thought there was plenty of room on
the lot to accommodate the accessory structure. Mr. Maloney agreed with W. Konold and
indicated that he felt that the trees would buffer the shed from the neighbors. Mr. Conway
suggested making it clear in the motion that the structure is not to be used for storing vehicles
other than the owner's motorcycle. If cars are driven into the accessory structure a driveway
is required.
J. Maloney motioned to grant Ed & Mary Zarefoss of 28405 N. Park Dr. their request for
variance 1123.12, which consists of the construction of a second accessory structure and that
the following Variances be granted:
4
