d . y \ 5
•"'? 9
would like this noted for the record that the issue was the opening was very small. He
has no problems with the recommendations from the fire dept. Mr. Puzzitiello
questioned if the window was the original window. Mr. Williams indicated it's the saine
window just moved to a different location. Mr. Klesta questioned how wide the
window was. His concern is if the window is small enough for a child's window, can the
Fire Department get through the window.
D. Spoerke motioned to grant Timothy Williams of 25838 Byron his proposal which
consists of new window. Originally intended to remain in its existing condition this
window was not required to meet the requirements of Section 310.2.1, per section
310.5. Having been relocated, it is now considered "new work" and must comply with
Sections 310.2 and 310.2.1. It is the only window in the bedroom, its original location
having been closed. Clear opening of 31 inches by 14 1/2 inches is obtained by fully
opening bottom sash; 31 inches by 20 inches equals 3.12 square feet would be the clear
opening. Removing bottom sash, which tilts in would require tools to provide a clear
opening of 4.31 square feet at the most. The top sash cannot be removed without
tools. Both top and bottom sashes tilt in but obstruct egress. The motion was seconded
by R. Klesta and unanimously approved. Motion carried.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS: Board members will need to appoint a chairman and Vice
Chairman for the year 2000.
D. Spoerke made a motion to appoint R. Puzzitiello as Chairman and R. Klesta as
Vice Chairman. The motion was seconded by R. Klesta and unanimously approved.
Motion Carried.
V. COlVIlV1ITTEE REPORTS:
VI. NEW BUSINESS: Mayor Musial came forward to swear in Mr. Puzzitiello.
The Clerk invited Mayor Musial to come forward to officially swear in Mr. Puzzitiello.
At this time Mr. Puzzitiello was sworn in. The Mayor thanked Mr. Puzzitiello for
volunteering his time.
VII. OLD BUSINESS:
VIII. ADJOURNMENT:
meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
C)
, Chairman Ki?nberly Fallo?
