the efface since it is much better material, cheaper, and won't get the corrosion on the ceiling
elements and if there are any leaks at all, it won't show. Mr. Saylor indicated the only problem
i to the efface is that they wouldn't have access up into that area. Access can be made going
across, but the beams are blocked in the thinner arrangement, which takes away the access.
Mr. Yager questioned what was up there. Mr. Liggett indicated there are lights up top. Mr.
Yager indicated the lights could be pulled out by itself without having to maintain the space
around it. Mr. Saylor indicated that when going overhead, you have to have the radius to get
overhead. The ATM sits right under the cross members, which means the cross members have
to be brought down flush with the mount of the ceiling. Since the radius would come right up
into the cross members, the radius would not be met. W. Yager questioned if over the ATM
was round. Mr. Saylor replied "yes." There is a tie-in from the building to the ATM, which is
how the money is transported to fill the machine. It is a"point to point" system. Mr. Yager
questioned if it came from below or came from above. W. Cieply indicated it came from
above. Mr. Yager questioned it this was seen on the elevations submitted. W. Saylor
indicated it should be. Mr. Yager suggested when putting in the new curbing it could be
brought from below. Mr. Cieply indicated that flooding has occurred in old systems where the
vacuum is underneath the ground, so the trenches have been eliminated. Mr. Yager questioned
how big the tube was and where does it go relative to the ATM machine. Mr. Saylor replied
the tubing is 4 inches PVC and it would dispense into the machine just left of the ATM itself
and the tube would be located at the center of the room with a carrier. A teller would lock
herself into the ATM room, transport the money, and load up the machine. He continued that it
is basically a security issue. Mr. Saylor indicated he could narrow the canopy as much as
possible to facilitate the radius. Mr. Yager indicated the metal could be an eight or a twelve to
a six and just make the metal thicker. Mr. Yager questioned what is the dimension and how
much does the bank need. He indicated that if there is a 4-inch tube and it needs to make the
radius, there would be a radius one and a half-foot. Mr. Saylor indicated the radius is an 18-
inch radius. Mr. Yager indicated there would still be enough dimension to make it work from
the coping down. Mr. Saylor indicated that it would be kept to a minimum and kept tight
under the deck. Mr. Saylor indicated he would submit plans to Building with the radius. Mr.
Yager indicated the submittal should be looked at when submitted or it should have been on
the drawings because it has some impact. Mr. Yager indicated the proportion is off and this
little thing is awkward, but can still be easily remedied and still work within the radius. Mr.
Zergott indicated that there were no plans supplied for landscaping. W. Saylor indicated he
brought the plan in at the request of Planning Commission. Mr. Zergott suggested removing
ten percent of the Burning Bushes and replacing them with Stella Dora Day Lilies, which
would give a low maintenance perennial that would bloom all summer. Mr. Saylor indicated
that Day Lilies were fine. Mr. Zergott suggested using the Day Lilies as a border front of the
Burning Bushes. Mr. Zergott indicated that North Olmsted does a pretty nice job of the
triangle as you get up there. Mr. Cieply indicated that safety was an issue as well when
deciding on the Burning Bushes.
M. Yager made a motion to grant Fifth Third Bank of 26187 Lorain Rd. the proposal, which
consists of an ATM machine with a canopy with the following comments; 1.) The columns are
stone to match the existing stone, 2.) That the canopy aligns with the coping in every way
possible, 3.) The ATM colors be blue where the red is and red where the blue is, 4.) Bring the
columns in a foot or so from the exterior, and 5.) Remove ten percent of the buming Bushes
and add Stella Dora Day Lilies the entire length. NOTE: In the framing of the motion Mr.
Saylor questioned that the bank should keep the Burning Bushes but place the Day Lilies on
center between each pine tree. Mr. Zergott replied "yes." Mr. Saylor then reiterated trying to
keep the height of the canopy so customers cannot damage the canopy when driving under.
3
