The proposal consists of adding a three season room. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />A 6 foot variance for rear yard setback, (code requires SOft., applicant shows 44ft). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1135.08 A. <br />Chairman 1vlaloney called all interested parties forward to review the reQuest. The oath was administered <br />to Doug and Carol Leavens, the owners, and Larry Wagner of Wagner Home Improvement. Mr. Wagner <br />indicated that there is an existing deck that is pretty much falling apart. So they are going to put a three <br />season room in and drop it down a little bit so the room isn't standing way up in the air. Mr. Kremzar <br />questioned if this would be bigger than the other. Mr. Wagner replied yes it will be bigger. Riaht now <br />they are 14' x 14'. The room is going to be a similar size, there is just a little deck walkway around the <br />room. Mr. Kelly questioned if they were going to build the enclosure on the deck. Mr. Wagner replied <br />yes. They will tear the existing deck out completely, posts and everything. Then they will clean the <br />property up and then go in and set posts and have them inspected by the building department. Mr. <br />Maloney commented that it sounds like it will be a nice project and had no problems. The other board <br />members shared the same feelings. Mr. Maloney called for a motion. <br />W. Kremzar motioned to grant Doug and Carol Leavens of 4327 Dogwood Trail their request for <br />variance 1123 ,12. Which consists of adding a three season room and that the following variance be <br />granted: <br />A 6 foot variance for rear yard setback, (code requires SOft., applicant shows 44ft). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1135.08 A. The motion was seconded by J. Maloney and <br />unanimously approved. Varianee Granted 9/6/01. <br />6. Carol Hawen4610 Kew Drive: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of patio enclosure addition. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />An 11 foot variance for (patio enclosure) rear lot set back (code permits 50 ft., applicant shows 39 ft.), <br />section (1135.08). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1135.08. <br />Mr. Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. As the owners were not present, <br />Mr. Maloney indicated that this case would be called again at the end of the meeting. <br />7. 3 Dav Blinds: 4687 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a sign. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />A 10 sq. ft. variance for maximum sign face area for a building unit (code permits 80 sq. ft., applicant <br />shows 90 sq. ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125. <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath was administered <br />to Jeff Gorbach, who is standing in for his associate Jerry Williams, who made the submittal. He is with <br />Ellet Neon Signs and they are representing 3 Day Blinds. Mr. Gorbach indicated that 3 Day Blinds and <br />More has changed their corporate name to 3 Day Blinds and Shutters. So, they are having them remove <br />the "and More" portion and they are coming for a variance to replace that with the "and Shutters" <br />portion. Mr. Kremzar questioned if they were leaving the 3 Day Blinds as it is. Mr. Gorbach replied yes. <br />3
