When they boxed in the upper case L and lower case G, it exceeds the square footage allowable by code. It is approximately 15 sq. ft. over because of the 8.5 inches on the G and the 8.5 inches on the L. The letter forms are not in excess of the size that is existing, in fact the sign they propose is smaller. If they'd went with letters the size they should be according to code, it would create an extreme hardship because they would end up with a 7 inch letter. Mr. Kremzar indicated that the Ameritch sign looks larger anyhow. Mr. Maloney complimented Ms. McBride's description and detail and called for a motion. W.
