?
1) A 1 month variance for keeping a travel/camper trailer in the front yard while repairing it, (code
permits a period not exceeding 72 hours in any consecutive 21 day period, applicant shows 3
months). The trailer is to be removed after the one-month is up.
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1135.02 H 3. The motion was seconded by J. Konold and
unanimously approved. Granted (One 1Vlonth) 8/3/01.
6. GeorsZe Dalton5148 Porter Road:
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of replacinc, existing garage with a new one.
The following variance is requested:
1) A 130 square foot variance for size of new garage, (detached), (code permits 750 sq. ft., applicant
shows 880 sq. ft.).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1135.02 C-1.
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath was administered
to George Dalton, the owner, who came forward to review the request. Mr. Dalton indicated that he had
bought the house a couple weeks ago from an older women who hadn't used the garage in a long time.
The roof leaks, so it is in a state of disrepair. He plans on demolishing the old garage and building a new
one in its place. He has some older cars and yard equipment so he was looking to put a 22 ft. x 40 ft.
building in there. It would be 5 ft. off the property line and still 18 ft. away from the house. It is less
than 20% of the backyard. The only variance he is requesting is to make it a little larger than the 25 ft. x
30 ft. allowed. The 22 ft. side will be facing the street, so it will look like a two-car garage. He talked to
the neighbors and none of them have a problem with it. The new garage will have vinyl siding to match
the house. Mr. Konold indicated that he is definitely improving the property there. He questioned if he
would clean some of the trees out of tlle yard. Mr. Dalton replied that he would have to clear a few trees
out. 1VIr. Maloney called for a motion.
J.
