w•
mound. Mr. Suhayda replied 15 ft, and at the rear it is 20 ft. wide. Mr. Hreha questioned how
trees they were planting on the mound and how far apart they would be. Mr. Suhayda replied
that the site plan SP-2 showed that they are going to stagger them. Mr. Hreha questioned if they
were literally going to build a wall of trees on top of the mound. Mr. Suhayda replied correct.
Mr. Spalding questioned if there would be shrubs on there or if it was just trees. Mrs. O'Rourke
indicated that the plan shows the shrubs. Mr. Hreha questioned the minimum height of the trees
when they are planted. Mr. Suhayda replied that they would be 6 ft. minimum in height, which
was a requirement from Architectural Review Board last time through. Mr. Spalding questioned
if there would be plantings around the old A&K Tire building. Mr. Suhayda replied that no new
plantings would go around that building because there is only about 1 or 2 ft. between the
building and the property line. Mr. Tallon questioned if there was a fence behind the building
Mr. Spalding mentioned. Mr. Suhayda replied no. Mr. Tallon recommended that they install a
fence from the corner line around the back of that building (west and north side). Mr. Spalding
agreed. Mr. Spalding questioned if there was anything separating the Tune & Lube building and
the neighbors garage which abuts right up to it. Mr. Suyahda replied no. There is a driveway
paved right up to the property line. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned how many lights there should be
along Lorain Rd., because they were showing several on the site plan. N1r. Tallon commented
that he was just looking at that also. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if that many were existing
currently at the site. Mr. Suhayda replied no. Mr. Tallon recommended eliminating one of the
light pole of the two closest to the dealership building and centering one in there which could
stay as the tripod style. He then suggested that the light pole on the corner of Dewey and Lorain
was not even necessary. Mr. Spalding noted that they were showing all light poles "A" along
Lorain Rd., 3 light pole "B" in the car display area in the iniddle, and two li?ht poles "C" against
the mound. Mr. Tallon indicated that the two LP "C" against the mound need to have cutoffs, so
that they're zero at the mound line. Mrs. O'Rourke commented that there was a another light
located next to the proposed driveway entrance on Dewey. Mr. Tallon questioned if the light,
Mrs. O'Rourke was referring to, was a pole light or a ground light. Mr. Parsons replied that is
was a light pole that would be about 15 to 20 ft. from the mound. W. Tallon indicated that there
was no need for that drive on Dewey. Mr. Spalding agreed, because they already have an
entrance on Lorain. He then suggested extending the mounding clear across the proposed
Dewey entrance. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned what are the hours of the Iights. Mr. Kula
responded that it was yet to be determined. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if they were talking nine
o'clock or eleven o'clock. Mr. Kula replied that they haven't discussed the official cutofftime.
Mr. Tallon suggested that the City is trying to work with them, but questioned why every Friday
night they take those cars and park them in the front setback as soon as the Building Department
is closed. Then every Saturday night they move them back. It happens every weekend and that
makes it hard to take their word on these things. Mr. Kula indicated that he did not wish to
comment on Mr. Tallon's statement. Mr. Spalding commented that there is a new duinpster
location. Mrs. O'Rourke suggested that since the board doesn't know what is going in that
building, it's hard to tell if it is the right location. Mr. Suhayda indicated that there is one
existing and one new proposed dumpster_by the detailing shop. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if Mr.
Tallon had finished with his recommendations for the front lighting scheme along Lorain Rd.
Mr. Tallon commented that he was thinking if"they only kept two LP "A" to the west of the
entrance along Lorain, it will space it equally with the one LP "A" on the other side of the drive.
The light poles that front on Lorain Rd. would be alright at 400 watts each since the board
eliminated 4 of the 7 lights shown on the site plan. That would give them 1,200 watts per light
pole. Mrs. O'Rourke commented that if they move that mound over the drive there really was no
reason for the light pole on Dewey. Mr. Tallon indicated that all the light poles should be at 12
ft. height total, 250 watt, except for the front three LP "A" can be 400 watt. He re-iterated that
6
