1. A 16 square foot variance for a shed larger than code permits (code permits 64 sq. ft., applicant <br />shows 80 sq. ft.), section (1135.02 (d)(1)). <br />2. A 12 foot variance for an accessory structure within a neighbors 50 ft. setback on a corner lot <br />(code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 38 ft.), section (1135.02 (d)(5)). <br />3. A 4 foot variance for a fence hiaher than 30 inches and less than 50% open within a neighbors 50 <br />ft. setback on a corner lot (code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 46 ft.), section (1135.02 (fl(2)). <br />4. An 18 inch variance for a fence higher than 30 inches in a required setback on a corner lot (code <br />permits 30.inches, applicant shows 48 inches), section (1135.02 (f)(2)). <br />5. A variance for a fence less than 50% open in a required setback on a corner lot (code requires 50% <br />open, applicant shows less than 50% open), section (1135.02 (f)(2)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.02 (d)(1)), (1135.02 (d)(5)), and (1135.02 (f)(2)). <br />The motion was seconded by T. Kelly and unanimously approved. Variances Granted. <br />8. Russell and Deborah Langlotz24899 Fawn Dr. (WRD-2) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of an addition to house. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 15 foot variance for a residence too close to rear property line (code requires 50 ft., applicant <br />shows 35 ft.), section (1135.08 (a)). <br />2. A 49.25 square foot variance for total square footage of accessory buildings in rear yard (code <br />permits 442.75 sq. ft., applicant shows 492 sq. ft.), section (1135.02 (d)(2)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1135.08 (a)), and (1135.02 (d)(2)}. <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. & Mrs. Langlotz, <br />the owners, Mr. LaRussa, the Contractor, and Mr. Shehan, a neighbor came forward to be sworn in <br />and address the request. Mr. Langlotz indicated that they have lived in North Olmsted since 1981 <br />and would not think of living anywhere else. They would like to have a family room so they can <br />entertain in their home. They have good neighbors and everyone gets along. Mr. Kremzar <br />questioned what the dimensions were. Mr. LaRussa suggested that the addition will be 16' x 22'. <br />Mr. Maloney indicated that the board received letters fi-om three neighbors indicating they have no <br />objections to the request. Mr. Shehan indicated that he has no objections to the request. <br />T. Kelly motioned to grant Russell and Deborah Langlotz of 24899 Fawn Drive their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of an addition to existing house and that the following variances <br />are granted: <br />1. A I S-foot variance for a residence too close to rear property line (code requires 50 ft., applicant <br />shows 35 ft.), section (1135.08 (a)). <br />2. A 49.25 square foot variance for total square footage of accessory buildings in rear yard (code <br />permits 442.75 sq. ft., applicant shows 492 sq. ft.), section (1135.02 (d)(2)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1135.08 (a)), and (1135.02 (d)(2)). The motion was <br />seconded by W. Kremzar and unanimously approved. Variances Granted. <br />9, Charles and Sharon Criss' 25259 Chase Dr, (3YRD-2) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a 5-foot high privacy fence. - <br />The following variances are requested: <br />l. A 12 foot variance for a fence less than 50% open and higher than 30 inches in front setback (code <br />permits 0, applicant shows 12 ft.). <br />2. A 30 inch variance for a fence higher than 30 inches located 12 ft. in front setback (code permits <br />30 inches, applicant shows 5 ft.). <br />3. A variance for a fence less than 50% open located 12 ft. in front setback (code permits 50% open, <br />applicant shows 0% open). <br />Note: Proposed fence is a 5-ft. high board on board privacy fence. <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.02 (f)(1)). <br />8
