Mrs. McFaul Hanna,
Manager of K& G properties, came forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mrs. Hanna
reviewed that the existing carport had burned down and they would like to replace it with a new
carport. The other carports on the property do not have garage doors however, today's codes do
require garage doors. The owners would like to keep the appearance the same throughout all of the
carports. Mr. Maloney indicated that the United Church of Christ sent in a letter indicating that they
would like to see the carport built according to today's codes (see attached document at back of these
minutes). Mr. Konold questioned how many parking spaces would be in the carport. Mrs. Hanna
indicated there would be 16 spaces. Mr. 1Vlaloney commented that he believed that if there were
doors on the carport they would not last long, as they would be hit by cars.
W. Kremzar motioned to grant K& G Properties (Colleen Hanna) 23629 Delmere Drive 9106-B
their request for variance (1123.12). Which consists of replacing burned down carport and that the
following variances be granted:
1. The motion was seconded by
N. Sergi and unanimously approved. Variances Granted.
8. Wells Farg;o Home Mortgage: 4722 Great Northern Blvd:
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a wall sign.
The Following variance is requested:
1. A 15.25 square foot variance for a wall sign (code permits 39.5 sq. ft., applicant shows 54.75 sq.
ft).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.24 O).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mr. McClacherty,
with All Signs, and Mr. Koch, with Wells Fargo, came forward to be sworn in and address the
variance request. Mr. Koch indicated that Wells Fargo has a standard sign, which includes a
stagecoach that is used at all their banks. They would like to be allowed to use their sign on this
branch. Mr. Kremzar questioned if the vinyl sign in the window would be removed once the new sign
is in place. Mr. Koch indicated that it will be removed from the window. Mr. Maloney questioned if
the.landlord was aware of the request and agreed to the new sign submitted. Mr. Koch suggested
that the landlord approved of the sign.
