Architectural Review Board requested was addressing the amount of buffering along the north side of <br />the site. They. met with abutting neighbors to review what ma.terials would work best for the area. <br />They haue agreed to place a 6-foat high white, vinyl fence 3-feet in from the rear property line, which <br />will ran alang the entire length of the reaz' property line. Ttiere will also be a nurnber of juniper <br />bushES placed aXong the fence, line to add to the appearance of the fenae. Mr. Lawrence; with. <br />Lawrence Diversified indicated that he met vith the applicants, residence, and the Mayor at the site to <br />review the type of fencing that would be used., The residents as well as the applicants have agreed to <br />the vinyl feneing. Nlr. Maloney, an abutting neighbor, reviewed that the rear abutting property <br />awners have timber walls and a brick wall would cause the timber walls to collapse. Therefore, the <br />applicants and residents have agreect to a vinyl style fence, which would be low maintenance. <br />Chambers also agreed to place a 15-inch or 18-inch high curbing along,the edge of the asphalt to stop <br />cars from backing into the fence. Mr. Koeth questioned the status of the trees in the from of the site. <br />Mr. Grusenmeyer indicated that they would need to be allawed to landbank 4 or 5 parking spaces in <br />order ta mairitain the existing trees. Mr. Koeth indicated that he would recommend landbanking to <br />save as many existin,g trees as possible. Mr.?Lasko questioned if all the light fixtures on the building were removed exCept thase required by code. _ N1r. Koeth questioned if the pole light fixtures 'would :. <br />be the box-type, which shine downward. He questioned the type of bumpers/curb that would be <br />placed at the edge of the pavement. Mr. Gtusenmeyer indicated that they wauld be placing a row of <br />bumpers along the edge of the pavement and there will be a 3-foot wide landscaping bed before the <br />fence. Mx. Koeth questiQned if the residents were happy with the type of fence proposed. W. <br />. <br />1Vlaloney indicated that the residents were happy with the style of fence proposed. Mr. Rymarezyk <br />indicated that the 'fence` would be stepped up periodically as the topography is not level. Mr. <br />Cmisenmeyer-indica.ted that the bottom of the fence would be at grade level. However, the:re could be a step up or down 3 or 4 inch at the fenee top as it runs east to west due to the topography of the larid. <br />W. Grusenmeyer reviewed that the fence would be placed as close to the graund as possible and then <br />there will be a 3-foot wide landsca.ped area theri the parking curb. As there seemad to be confusion <br />- about the height ofthe fence W. Koeth Xeviewed that, there will be the parking lot, bumpers, and a 3- <br />foot landscaped area then the fence line. The fence is being placed 3=feet in from the property line. <br />Mr. I4reha commented that the board was very appreciative to the applicants for working so closely <br />with the abutting neighbors. The applicants have been very co-operative with both our boards and the <br />residents. Mr. Asseff indicated that the photometric plans are very well done and thanked the <br />applicant for not lighting the site up like Jacobs Field. <br />R. Koeth motioned to approve Chambers Funer.ai Home of.29150 Lorain Road,-. which consists of <br />alteratians to the existing buiIding to aceommvdate a funeral home with the following cornments. A <br />white vinyl 5-foot fence with 1-foat lattice atop the fence and the bottom to start even with the <br />parking lot to run the entire north lot line. T'here is 'to be a curb next to the asphalt to protect the <br />fence. The 3 front trees are to be saved and the applicants will landbank 4 to 5 parldng spaces ta <br />preserve the trees. The motion was seconded by J, Lasko and unanimously approved. Proposal <br />Approved. Note: the Clerk annotinced that the'applicant would go before the Board of Zoning and, <br />Develogment on Sune 3, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. and no fiuther notices would be sent out. <br />V.
