REC. CENTER REPAIRS / WORK UPDATE CONT.: <br /> <br />and a new counter top installed. Community Council purchased dirt so we could repair <br />the park grounds that where damaged from Homecoming. Mr. Wetmore commented <br />that we also purchased ball field dirt for diamond #1 and are looking to budget for the <br />other diamonds next year. Ms. Drenski stated that a new garage door has been installed <br />in the maintenance area that now includes a walk through door to comply with safety <br />standards. We received two proposals for the fire alarm system, one by Simplex Grinnell <br />the other from ABCO. While working with the fire chief and board of controls we decided <br />to go with ABCO. The new system will bring us up to code and will be installed by the <br />end of the year. <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2012-67 PARKS AND RECRATION COMMISSION: <br /> <br />Ms. Drenski stated ordinance 2012-67 has been revised to read that the Recreation <br />Commission meetings will be held on a quarterly schedule as opposed to a monthly <br />schedule. In 2013, the commission will meet in February, May, August and November. <br /> <br /> <br />SPECIAL EVENT UPDATE: <br /> <br />th <br />Ms. Drenski noted our annual Halloween Skate will be held on Sunday, October 28 <br />from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />REVENUE AND EXPENSE: <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Drenski reviewed the August and September revenue and expense and stated that <br />we are exceeding 2011 revenue in all areas and that we should have no problem meeting <br />the projected revenue for 2012. We are currently reviewing our expenses to see where <br />there is money that can be transferred to Building R&M for a new HVAC unit for the <br />pool locker room. Ms. Drenski also noted that she is currently working with Carrie Copfer <br />to borrow for new chillers and cost effective lighting for 2013. <br /> <br /> <br />NORTH OLMSTED HOT STOVE DONATION: <br /> <br />Mr. Wetmore reported that Hot Stove makes a donation every year to the Recreation Center <br />from their field permit fees. This year their donation will be approximately $5,000 and they <br />rd <br />would like to fix diamond #1 dugout roof, provide new posts at the 3 base dugout and install <br />Hollywood bases at diamond #5. Mr. Wetmore asked the commission to vote on acceptance of <br />the donation. Motion to approve the Hot Stove donation was passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
