Mr. Bugala pointed out that even though the pole sign has been reduced <br />they are still requesting other variances. Building Commissioner Conway <br />explained.that the smaller.pole sign will be at every'location, there will - <br />be canopy signs at two locations, and all of the existing signs on the <br />properties will be removed. The only variance requested will be for the <br />pole signs. They are asking for a 6 sq. ft. variance for one side of the <br />pole sign only;. all other signage will conform to code. Mr. Miller <br />pointed out that there will also be a pole sign installed at the car wash <br />on the north side of Lorain Road at Great Northern Boulevard and is <br />questioning if this could be addressed -at this time. The size of the sign <br />will be the same, the only difference is that it will state "Soft Cloth <br />Car Wash",..instead of the gas prices. The. members agreed. to address this.. <br />at this -time. B. Grace moved to approve for the B.P. Oil Company at the <br />four locations: 23423 Lorain, 29131 Lorain, 25295 Lorain. and for the car <br />wash on the north -side- of Lorain at Great NorthernBoulevard, a.variance <br />of 6 total square feet for 1 face of each pole sign for each location with <br />the stipulation that all other signs will be removed. and. total signage. <br />will meet code, seconded by R. Gomersall; and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />1. George Yanich, 30917 Old Shore Dr. <br />Request for variance (1123.12) Request 12 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Yanich and their contractor, R. Borchert. <br />The members had no questions on this request. J. Helon moved to grant the <br />12 foot rear yard variance for George Yanich, 30918 Old Shore Drive, <br />to construct a patio enclosure, seconded by T. Restifo, and unanimously <br />approved. Variance granted. <br />2. J. & K. Ombrello, 24742 Randall Dr. <br />Request for variance L(1123.12). Request 11 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Ombrello and Mr. Morton, contractor. The <br />members had no problems with this request. R. Gomersall moved to grant to <br />J. & K. Ombrello, 24742 Randall Drive, an 11 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct patio enclosure, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />3. Hillcrest Home Remodelers, 6199 Sandpiper Lane s/1 51. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 5 foot 4 inch height variance, 15 <br />square foot area variance, and location variance for gazebo(shed). <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(d). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties <br />was administered.to Mr. Cook, builder. Mr. <br />was nothing in the codes for a gazebo. Mr. <br />are considered to be sheds and the new code <br />of the rear yard can be covered, and the <br />these codes would be a 1 foot, 4 inch height <br />to grant to Hillcrest Home Remodelers, Inc., <br />2 <br />before the Board.
