And, it would have been <br />corrected, do you understand what I'm saying, on the second interview. <br />Mrs. Bahas: For that reason. . <br />Secretary: There was a flyer on the application. <br />Mrs. Bahas: Alright, this was on the application - cause for medical <br />rejection are as follows - <br />Mr. Wendt: We can't do anything - we have to go by that letter. <br />Commission excused Mr. Thompson at this point. Decision will be made at <br />a future meeting when opinion is received from doctor in writing. <br />Meeting continued: <br />Discussion surrounding the receipt of a letter directing all purchasing <br />be approved by the Mayor. She does not set the budget - council sets the <br />budget and budget and management, at least in the past, unless there's <br />another ordinance to the contrary submit the budget and they all work <br />the budget.. and they all talk with the Mayor as she presents the budget <br />, but I'm sure when they go for a fire engine that the Mayor I cannot <br />believe that the Mayor is going to handle all of those purchases. <br />Mr. Wendt: I don't think she's going to handle it - I think it will say <br />do we have enough money in the budget to buy a fire engine? <br />Mrs. Bahas: This is a direct response because we got the raise! <br />Mr. Wendt: Sure. <br />Mrs. Bahas: We went to council - and council granted your raise. <br />Mr. Wendt: We tried to get a raise previously and it was totally <br />refused. <br />Secretary: And, this is an answer to that? <br />Mr. Wendt: It's not an answer - it's another kind of a .. the way <br />government works. <br />Mrs. Bahas: That's a very good way of putting it - that's it exactly. <br />Mr. Wendt: In other words, it's approved by council now, but I don't <br />like the what they did and I'm gonna #$U& you. - That's what it means <br />and now since this raise is granted you are under MY authority. In other <br />words, it's my football and as soon as we're finished with the game my <br />football goes with me. That's how it works.
