b. Fire Department applicants may be granted no more than an aggregate total of three (3) <br />extra credit points for meeting military service criteria. <br />Section 4: Efficiency and Seniority Credit - Promotional Examinations <br />See RULE III, Section 8. <br />RULE VI <br />EXPENSES OF EXAMINATION PROCESS <br />and <br />APPLICATION FORM INFORMA TION <br />Section 1: Expense: <br />Except as specifically provided otherwise by another provision within these Rules and <br />Regulations, all expenses incurred in the examination process including publishing costs, <br />examination costs and monitoring expenses shall, upon the recommendation of the Civil <br />Service Commission be submitted to the appropriate department of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />Section 2: Application Form Information <br />The Commission shall furnish application packets. Application packets for entrance <br />examinations shall provide for the submission of information as set forth in Sec. 124.25 of <br />the Ohio Revised Code. The Commission may determine and provide for the submission <br />of any other relevant information either on the application form or a supplemental sheet. <br />Section 3: Application Acceptance/Resection: <br />a. All applications shall be picked up at the designated location specified in the posted or <br />published notices. <br />b. All applications shall be legibly printed in ink or typed, contain a full address including zip <br />code, and be signed and dated by the applicant verifying the accuracy of the information <br />provided on the application form. Applicants shall also list their name and address, <br />including zip code, on the front of the return envelope, when submitting their application. <br />All applications shall be returned to: North Olmsted Civil Service Commission, P.O. Box <br />448, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, unless otherwise stated in print. <br />c. If an application is rejected by the Civil Service Commission, the applicant will be notified <br />as soon as practicable following the Commission's review. An applicant whose <br />application is rejected shall not be entitled to a refund of any processing fee paid by the <br />applicant. <br />d. Any false information provided, or material omissions made, on an application or during <br />an examination or interview, constitutes just cause for disqualification of the applicant. <br />e. All applications shall be received by the Civil Service Commission no later than the date <br />indicated in the application packet.. <br />12 <br />05-24-2004 Update <br />
