Commissioners felt bad having to deny military credit to Mr. Lough as he is on active duty, however <br />the requirements for military credit state extra credit for those honorably discharged from active <br />service. <br />R. Giesser moved to deny James Gallagher any military credit on the grounds that no <br />documentation was submitted to support his claim for military credit, i.e. DD 2-14 or <br />equivalent. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. Denied <br />Military Credit. <br />The commissioners spent an hour or more reviewing each of the applications requesting educational <br />credit that the clerk was unsure of. Each applicants application was reviewed by the commissioners. <br />R. Giesser moved to deny James Galligher his request for educational credit on the grounds <br />that he failed to provide documentation showing he obtained a 2 or 4 year degree. M. Ubaldi <br />seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. Denied Educational Credit. <br />R. Giesser moved to deny Lisette Gonzalez her request for educational credit on the grounds <br />that she failed to provide documentation showing she obtained a 2 or 4 year degree. Denied <br />Educational Credit. <br />W. Hohmann moved to deny Scott Yager credit on the grounds he failed to submit supporting <br />documents for educational credit claimed. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion which was <br />unanimously approved. Denied Educational Credit. <br />W. Hohmann moved to deny Matthew Martincin educational credit on the grounds that he did <br />not provide required documentation showing a 2 or 4 year degree. M. Ubaldi seconded the <br />motion which was unanimously approved. Denied Educational Credit. <br />M. Ubaldi moved to deny Christopher Kuhn extra credit for education on the grounds he did <br />not provide adequate documentation to support his request. W. Hohmann seconded the <br />motion, which was unanimously approved. Denied Educational Credit. <br />B: Motion to certify the Police Entry -Level list. <br />The clerk was given an opportunity to input the extra credit and have the computer sort and rank the <br />Police candidates' final scores. The clerk then printed out the database and the commission went <br />through the list and made any adjustments required. Tie scores were sorted in the following manner: <br />Military, date application was received, and time application was received. <br />R. Giesser moved to certify the ranking list for the entry-level Patrol Officer examination <br />which contains 149 names on list (said list is attached). M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which <br />was unanimously approved. <br />C: Motion to have clerk mail out test results to candidates. <br />The commission reviewed the proposed letters to be used to notify police candidates of their final <br />score and how they are ranked. A few additions and adjustments were made to the result letters. <br />R. Giesser moved to have the clerk mail the candidates result letters to those who passed the <br />test and have rankings and to those who failed the test as corrected. W. Hohmann seconded <br />the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />Mr. O'Malley advised the clerk that she could have all Civil Service calls pertaining to final ranking <br />received at City Hall on November 30, 2004, forwarded to the Law Department clerk so no one <br />would have to leave voice mails since the clerk would not be in the office that day. <br />2 <br />
