CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION INDEX FOR 2005 MEETINGS <br />R. Giesser made a motion to acknowledge receipt of requests from Brandon Cole, Kenneth <br />Kulczycki, and Russell Hageman to have their names removed from the fire fighter eligibility list. <br />The Commission accepts the requests. The motion was seconded by M. Ubaldi and unanimously <br />approved. <br />JUNE 20, 2005 <br />W. Hohmann made amotion to appoint D. Eccleston to be the Civil Service Secretary. The motion <br />was seconded by M. Ubaldi and unanimously approved. <br />R. Giesser made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion was seconded by M. <br />Ubaldi and unanimously approved. <br />R. Giesser made a motion to appoint W. Hohmann to be a member of the Northeast Ohio <br />Association of Civil Service Commissioners and submit the appropriate paperwork if this process <br />has not been completed for this year. The motion was seconded by M. Ubaldi and unanimously <br />approved. <br />R. Giesser made a motion to accept removal of Brian Clute and Alexander Casey. W. Hohmann <br />seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />If there are indications from the Fire Department that there will be additional hiring made for entry <br />level fireman, R. Giesser made a motion to certify Mathias Burke, Daniel Holstein, Mike Fusco, <br />Bryan Gallagher and Mike Rodrigues as the top five names. W. Hohmann seconded the motion and <br />unanimously approved. <br />M. Ubaldi made a motion to classify the Employment Specialist and un -classify the Secretary I/Civil <br />Service Secretary. R. Giesser seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion in the North Olmsted Civil Service Rules and Regulations Handbook, <br />Rule III Section 8 has Sub Sections a — e. All Sub Sections, except 8d, will be accepted as written, <br />as voted on by the Civil Service Commission in previous meetings. Section 8d will read as follows: <br />"For Police Department Promotional Examinations, efficiency evaluations <br />credits shall be awarded based on the efficiency evaluation of the applicant <br />within six months of the scheduled examination, using the following scale: <br />Efficiency Rating (E) Exceeds Expectations 1 Point <br />Efficiency Rating (M) Meets Expectations 0 Points <br />Efficiency Rating (B) Below Expectations 0 Points <br />Efficiency Rating (U) Unsatisfactory 0 Points" <br />R. Giesser seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />
