IV. OLD BUSINESS: Conclude Business for Entry -Level Police and Fire Mr. Ubaldi indicated the Commission tentatively will hold an examination in February or March for the Police and Fire Entry -Level examination. V. NEW BUSINESS: Review Budget Information for 2007 The Commissioners reviewed the budget figures for 2007. The Human Resources Director, Cheryl Farver, indicated she discussed the budget with the Mayor and inquired if there is a need for a Corrections Officer examination. At this time, it is a low priority since there are no vacancies. Review 2007 Calendar The Civil Service Commission meets every third Monday of each month. Martin Luther King falls on the third Monday, January 15, 2006 and President's Day falls on the third Monday, February 19, 2006. A general discussion followed concerning changing January and February meetings to the fourth Monday. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the 2007 calendar as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Review Results from the Police Captain Examination as per Rule III of Civil Service Rules and Regulations The candidates were revealed from the Promotional Police Captain Examination: Candidate #1 — Robert Flynn; Candidate #2 — Jamie Gallagher; Candidate 43 — Steven Wolf, Candidate #4 — Ron Cox. The scores are as follows: #1 — Jamie Gallagher — 91.72% plus extra credit points; #2 — Steven Wolf — 89.75% plus extra credit points; #3 — Robert Flynn — 88.70% plus extra credit points; #4 — Ron Cox — 79.35% plus extra credit points. The four (4) candidates will receive a total of ten (10) extra points for efficiency and seniority credit. Certify the Candidates for Police Captain Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to create an eligible list for Police Captain as follows: Rank #1— Jamie Gallagher — 91.72% (101.72% - with extra credit points); Rank #2 — Steven Wolf — 89.75% (99.75% - with extra credit points); Rank 93 — Robert Flynn — 88.70% (98.70% - with extra credit points); Rank #4 — Ron Cox — 79.35% (89.35% with extra credit points). The Civil Service Commission will certify to the appointing authority the Police Captain Eligible List and name Lieutenant Jamie P. Gallagher as the highest scoring candidate. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
