Annie requested larger font for future pole banners. Leah reminded the group to wear <br />their Commission polos and to arrive between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM to help set up. <br />Glenn Band Concert I June 1 <br />Leah shared Dale Mortenson's request for support regarding the Glenn Band's upcoming concert <br />on June 1St at the North Olmsted Park Gazebo. Leah would like to support the event via <br />advertising, but did not feel comfortable providing funds to an event not affiliated with the <br />Commission. The Commission could partner with the Glenn Band on future concerts, as they are <br />a unique band and have a lot to offer to the community. It was agreed that while the Commission <br />will not donate money, they will gladly promote the event in upcoming e -newsletters and social <br />media channels to boost attendance. Jackie thought Dale could be a good candidate for the Arts <br />Commission, being a resident with varying interests and general enthusiasm. <br />Party in the Park I July 27 <br />Leah was excited over how well the Facebook event did in the first 24 hours of being launched, <br />already exceeding Earth Fair's RSVP count. Laura and James said the performer application was <br />turned into an online form this year and that six performers have applied within the first 48 hours <br />of the launch. Laura has sent it out to over 10,000 people with more outreach yet to be done. <br />Keith redesigned the beer garden layout to be rotated 90 degrees and allow for more visibility <br />from picnic seating to the stage. This revised site map will be submitted with the event liquor <br />permit in early June. Sue will help seek additional volunteers and work with James to assign <br />responsibilities. Leah shared her work in trying to negotiate around different food trucks' <br />availability and asked the group their preference for type of cuisine. Balancing adequate sales <br />versus avoiding lines, it was agreed that Leah will book three savory trucks and one dessert <br />truck. The savory trucks will focus on accessible cuisine, such as hamburgers, tacos, barbeque <br />and similar menu items. James will reach out to East Coast Custard to check their availability. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Holiday Decorations <br />James explained the vehicle decoration theme with the images provided, and the group agreed it <br />was not an ideal theme. Leah wants to focus on adding decorations to the Commission's <br />inventory and building up more every year. James shared Nicole's suggestion of the holiday <br />cutouts as a potential addition to any theme. Leah explained that the decoration theme is separate <br />from a North Olmsted Noel event theme. Wilma was concerned over duplicating Frostville's <br />Victorian Christmas theme and supports a nutcracker theme. Keith mentioned potential lighting <br />ideas for the park that would allow for a variety of North Olmsted -centric designs such as the <br />water tower. Sue asked if the water tower could be lit up; James said it is not a possibility. Jackie <br />and Sue asked for an inventory of the existing holiday lights before any more are purchased. It <br />
