CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />2020 INDEX <br />The following variance is requested: <br />2. A 10.73 ft. variance for setback of a fence constructed on a corner lot in the side and rear <br />yards abutting a side street; code requires 20 ft., applicant shows 9.27 ft., Section <br />1135.02(D)(3). <br />20-17085; Lurleen & Gerald Drellishak; 4748 Columbia Road <br />Proposal consists of a detached garage. Property is zoned C -One Family Residence. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 1,248 s.f variance for the area of a garage; code limits garages to 750 s.f total, <br />applicant requests 1,998 s.f. (1,056 s.f first floor plus 942 s.f second floor), Section <br />1135.02(B)(1)(a). Note: The application indicates only the area of the first floor of 1,056 <br />s. f. <br />2. A 1 ft. variance for the height of a garage; code limits garages to 15 ft., applicant requests <br />16 ft., Section 1135.02(B)(1)(b). Note: The application indicates a building height of 20 <br />ft., which is measured to the roof peak; however, building height is measured to the <br />average height between the eaves and ridge line for a gable, hip or gambrel roof, not the <br />peak, thus the average height is 16 ft. <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 <br />The Building & Zoning Board of Appeals minutes of August 3, 2020 are submitted for approval. <br />20-16925; Dorela Marashi; 26982 Kingston Circle <br />Proposal consists of a fence on a corner lot. Property is zoned A -One Family Residence. Proposal <br />was tabled at August 3, 2020 meeting. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. Property is zoned A -One Family Residence. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A variance for a second accessory storage building; code permits one per residential lot, <br />applicant shows two, Section 1135.02(C)(2). Note: There is an existing detached garage and <br />an existing barn on the lot. <br />2. A 88 square foot variance for size of an accessory storage building; code permits 200 square <br />feet, applicant shows 288 square feet, Table 1135.02-1. Note: Lot is 37,942 square feet. <br />Existing non -conforming barn is 800 square feet. <br />VA <br />
