A 900 sq. ft. variance for the size of a storage building: code allows 300 sq. ft.; <br />applicant shows 1200 sq. ft., Section 1135.02 (C)(2). <br />3. A 4 ft. variance for maximum building height; code permits 14 ft., applicant shows <br />18 ft. Note: t.or is 11.340sq.ft. <br />Mr. Gramsz explained that he currently uses the garage for his woodworking hobby and they <br />would like a new storage building to store his wood working equipment. Initially, he used half of <br />the garage to do his woodwork however as time progressed he eventually, took over the entire <br />garage, forcing his wife to park her car in the driveway. lie added that he did try to make the <br />storage building tit within the code, however he needed the extra space for the longer pieces of <br />wood. Ms. Flynn stated that she would like to get an electric vehicle which would require her to <br />have access to the power in the garage in order to charge the vehicle. there is an existing shed <br />on the property however it will be replaced with the proposed storage building. <br />A letter of opposition from Clare Hall 6055 Park Ridge Drive was read into the record. Law <br />Director Gareau commented in response to the letter regarding the Home Owners Association <br />and the City of North Olmsted and that those arc independent with one mother and you are <br />guided by the codified ordinances. Ms. Flynn commented that Park Ridge Home Owners <br />Association is not a governing body and you do not have to go through them to moc ity or change <br />one's home or yard. Also, you are not required join. <br />Mr. Mackey commented that he believes the size of the shed is about the same size as a double <br />garage and does not believe it will infringe with the neighborhood. Ile had added that the shed <br />will enhance the property. Mr. Rahm remarked that the homeowner will be removing the <br />existing shed, and there is a need to store his equipment. <br />
