Commissioner Flannery:
Yes, go ahead. Thank you.
Lieutenant Barrett:
The questions, have you compared the 2023 questions to the 2024 questions?
Dr. Borodkin:
Yes, I read one of them.
Lieutenant Barrett:
Have you broken them down? Are all the questions, which questions, how many questions out of
that test were not the same?
Dr. Borodkin:
The only questions that were different were the interview questions.
Lieutenant Barrett:
The interview question that the assessor gave us that, as you claim, is subjective, correct?
Dr. Borodkin:
I claim any assessment is subjective. It would be untruthful to say that an interview is not subjective
in some way.
Lieutenant Barrett:
Would you say a licensed psychologist would be better to assess than a retired school teacher?
Dr. Borodkin:
Not necessarily because a licensed psychologist may not have had, have already assessed probably
500 to 600 candidates coached command staff members. A Iicensed psychologist may have none of
that. And this is a leadership test not a psychological exam.
There's no clinical or psychological component. When we do that, the INVOL is given and that's for
the entry-level fire and police. That was not part of this.
Lieutenant Barrett:
That's all I have, ma'am. Thank you.
Asst. Law Director O'Malley:
Is there any more from PRADCO? Is there any more from the safety division?
Dr. Borodkin:
No.
Asst. Law Director O'Malley:
Is there any more from the safety division?
Public Safety Director Scofield:
No.
Asst. Law Director O'Malley:
I suppose you can go to closing arguments if any.
Commissioner Flannery:
OK
