Asst. Law Director O'Malley: Madam Chair, certainly the commission members can put questions to PRADCO. You're not prohibited from doing so. Commissioner Flannery: I'm aware. Do you have any questions? Commissioner Cotofan: I don't. Commissioner Flannery: I have to thank Jennifer for these extensive packets so that we were able to see what we were looking at. So thank you for that. That's why I don't have any questions. I'm going to move to closing statements. Do you feel it would be beneficial to hear any witnesses if they have anything to say? Asst. Law Director O'Malley: If the applicant had any additional witnesses, he would call them. The applicant is rested. If other parties want to call their witnesses, they can. Seeing none. Commissioner Flannery: All right. Let's move to closing. Let's start with Mr. Barrett. Lieutenant Barrett: I will defer my closing until after Captain Walling and PRADCO. Thank you. Captain Angel Walling: Thank you, Madam Chair. We were given a test with a set of parameters on there. This is what was expected. We knew that going in there. Dr. Borodkin has explained the process. Everybody is very familiar with PRADCO and their process. Specifically, like he explained, the last test that Lt. Barrett took was for a lieutenant position. This test was for a captain's position. Completely different responsibilities. So even if he copied his answers and gave the exact same answers, the scores would still be the same. l understand that. And I trust PRADCO and their process and I'll leave it at that. Dr. Borodkin: I think Captain Walling spoke to more of the specifics of this meeting. I'd like to speak more to the philosophy behind what we do. We recognize there is a lot at stake with promotional processes. Not just for the city, but the impact it has on a person's life. Whether they get the job or they do not get the job. We do not take that lightly.
