(58) "Off-street parking" means an open or enclosed area, other than a street, <br />used for the parking of motor vehicles accessory to a main building or use. <br />(59) "Open space" means land that is either undeveloped or is improved with <br />various recreation facilities. <br />(60) "Performance bond" means a bond posted by a developer, contractor or <br />subcontractor that contains the guarantee of a surety that a specific project will be <br />completed and meet any standards or specifications that have been agreed upon. <br />(61) "Performance standards" means criteria that are set to ensure that a <br />particular structure, operational activity, type of land use or development will be <br />able to meet certain minimum standards so that its impact upon the community <br />will not exceed established limits. <br />(62) "Person" means a person or persons, firm or corporation. <br />(63) "Public utility" means any person, firm, corporation, governmental <br />agency or board fully authorized to furnish and furnishing under governmental <br />regulation, to the public, electricity, gas, steam, telephone, telegraph, <br />transportation or water, or any other similar public utilities. <br />(64) "Recreation (active)" means recreational activities that require physical <br />participation. Sports (such as baseball, tennis and gol fl are typical of active <br />recreation. <br />(65) "Recreation (passive)" means pleasurable activities that involve relative <br />inactivity, such as sitting, strolling, card playing and picnics. <br />(66) "Regulation" means a rule, restriction or other mandatory provision in <br />this Code intended to control, require or prohibit an act. <br />(67) "Review Board" means the Architectural Review Board. <br />(68) "Roadside stand" means a movable structure used or intended to be used <br />solely by the owner or the tenant of property on which it is located for the sale of <br />seasonal agricultural products produced on the premises which shall be removed <br />at the conclusion of the seasonal sales. <br />(69) "Secretary" means the duly acting secretary of the Planning Commission, <br />Board of Zoning Appeals and Architectural Review Board. <br />(70) "Setback" means the required distance between the front of a structure <br />and the front lot line or the required distance between the structure and each of the <br />surrounding lot lines. <br />(71) "Setback (front)" means the minimum distance from the street line or <br />front property line to the building line measured along a line perpendicular to the <br />street line or front property line, or in the case of an are street, measured <br />perpendicular to the chord of the arc describing the front property line at its <br />midpoint and measured from the chord line or from the radius of the arc itself, <br />whichever is greater. In the event one or more lots, or parcels of land, which are <br />adjoining, are used for the same use, or accessory uses, the setback line shall <br />extend and be the same for all lots or parcels so used. <br />(72) "Shopping center (community)" means a shopping center ranging in size <br />from 100,000 to 400,000 square feet of building floor area, having a junior <br />department store as the leading tenant. <br />(73) "Shopping Center (neighborhood)" means a shopping center ranging in <br />size from 20,000 to 100,000 square feet of building floor area, having a <br />supermarket-type food store or super drug store as the leading tenant. <br />(74) "Shopping Center (regional)" means a shopping center over 400,000 <br />square feet in building floor area having a major department store or stores as the <br />leading tenant. <br />(75) "Stable" means any building, structure or portion thereof which is used <br />for the shelter or care of horses, cattle or other similar animals, either permanently <br />or transiently. <br />
