<br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />POSITION TITLE: ANIMAL WARDEN <br />RESPONSIBLE T0: SERVICE DIRECTOR <br />Minimum Qualifications: <br />Must possess a current, valid Ohio Driver's License. Must be capable of writing and <br />communicating clearly. Must be capable of driving a light duty truck. Must also maintain clear <br />and concise records. <br />GENERAL DUTIES: <br />Responsible for the enforcement of all State, County and Local Ordinances that apply to the <br />maintenance, disposition and control of all domestic animals such as but not limited to dogs <br />and cats. <br />Will have the power to issue a citation to any person or person(s) violating any provisions <br />contained with the above referenced ordinances or laws. <br />Maintain the City kennel in a clean, sanitary and orderly fashion. <br />Maintain the interior of his vehicle in a clean and uncluttered manner. <br />Prepare and maintain all records relative to his/her daily activities. <br />Prepare and maintain all records relative to all impounded animals including the disposition of <br />such animals. <br />Will attempt to locate the owner of any domestic animal that has been impounded and notify the <br />owner of such impoundment. <br />May impound domestic animals in accordance with law. <br />Will provide food and water to all impounded animals on a regular basis. <br />Wilt release impounded domestic animals to their owner. <br />Will collect fines and fees and deposit the same with the Director of Finance following the <br />collection of such fines or fees. <br />89
