in all cases of animal abuse or cruelty helshe will coordinate his/her action with the North <br />Olmsted Police. <br />May be required to appear in Municipal Court or other duly recognized courts of law. <br />Will respond to all complaints, regarding domestic animals. <br />Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. <br />Will perform other related work as required andlor assigned. <br />Will in cases of domestic animal biting humans, he/she shall attempt to capture the biting <br />animal, locate its owner, advise the owner of the situation and the _procedure to be followed <br />relative to quarantine. Advise the person bitten that the animal has been captured, provide the <br />victim with the name and address of the animal owner. He/she will advise the proper <br />government authority of the animal bite. <br />Upon receiving notice by his supervisor, a resident or the Police Department that a domestic <br />animal is injuretl, the Dog/Animal Warden will respond to the location of the injured domestic <br />animal and transport said injured animal to the nearest veterinarian clinic for treatment. <br />Dog/Animal Warden will pick up all domestic and/or wild animals discovered dead on all public <br />streets and right-of-ways and dispose of the same. <br />In cases whereby a dead domestic or wild animal is of such size and/or weight (deer and large <br />dogs), and the Dog/Animal Warden is unable to pick up or move the dead animal„ helshe shall <br />immediately notify his supervisor of the situation. The Supervisor will then make arrangements <br />for assistance or make other arrangements to have the animal picked up and for its proper <br />disposal. <br />In all cases of death or injury to a domestic animal, the Dog/Animal Warden will attempt to <br />contact the owner of said injured or dead animal and advise them of the situation. Should the <br />domestic animal remain unclaimed following treatment by the veterinarian clinic, the <br />Dog/Animal Warden shall impound said animal in the City kennel for the appropriate time <br />period. Should the animal remain unclaimed following the impoundment period, he/she shall <br />dispose of the animal in accordance with law. <br />Will in circumstances where a domestic animal is creating a condition upon any private <br />property, public street or right-of-way where the health and welfare of residents or other <br />persons are jeopardized in the opinion of the Dog/Animal Warden or the Police Chief, his <br />90 <br />
