<br />Ordinance No. 2004-156 <br />(1) Picnics. Picnics shall be permitted in designated areas. Large <br />picnics, fifty or more, should first obtain a permit prior to halding function. <br />(m) Camina. No person shall be pernutted to use any pazk or <br />recreation facilities for camping unless authorized to da so by the Director of <br />Public Safety. <br />(n) Slin.g,shot; Baw W ArrowL Air Qwn. No person sha11 use a <br />slingshot, bow and arraw, or air gun within the public parks or recreation a.reas af <br />the City, the use of which is prohibited by Section 549.10 af the General Offenses <br />Code. <br />(o) GQIf Na person shall cause a golf ball to be propelled by hitting <br />the same with ago1f club within the public parks or recreation areas af the City. <br />(p) CMPfires and Cooking. No person shall keep or maintain or light <br />a aampfire or cooking fire in an area other than that designated and established <br />within the park area. No person shall pexmit any fire to be left unattended and <br />must completely extinguish the fire before leaving the area. <br />(q) Travelling Public Shows and Carnivals. To the contrary <br />notwithstanding the adoption of Chapter 701 of the Busineas Regulation Code <br />regulating travelling public shows and camivals, no such activity regulated <br />thereby shall be permitted in any public park within the City, with the exception <br />that the annual carnival in Narth Olmsted Park which has heretafore been known <br />as "Homecoming" and was heretofore sponsared by the Cornmunzty Council will <br />be permitted as per Chapter 701 of the Business Re,gulation Code, but shall not <br />exceed four days in length of nperation. <br />(Clyd. 92-70. Passed 9-1-92.)„ <br />Is hereby amended and sha.ll henceforth read as follows: <br />"947.01 RULES AND REGULA'I'IONS. <br />(a) Sueed Reuulated. No vehicle or horse shall be driven or ridden in <br />the City park or reereation site at a speed greater than fifteen miles per hour. <br />(Urd. 92-70. Passed 9-1-92.) <br />(b) 5elling Merchandise. No person, partnership,limited liability or <br />corporation operating far pmfit exclusive and apart fram a nonprofit group or <br />organization sha.ll sell or affer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise or services <br />in the City parks. This shall exclude any agreement the City enters into for the <br />purpose of selling food and non-alcohalic beverages in City parks and shall <br />pernut, through express written permission of the City, through the Safety <br />Director, nonprofrt groups or organizations to enter imo +concessivn agreements <br />for the purpose of selling food and nan-alcoholic bcverages in City parks for <br />limited special events. <br />(Chrd. 95-150. Passed 1-16-96.) <br />(c) Hours Onen xq Pubfic. Each park and recreation site shall have <br />signs pasted as to haurs open and noting the hours the park or site will be closed. <br />4
