EXHIBfT B-8 CONTINUED <br />MAlNTENANCE <br />MECHANIC <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, requires pertorming ski(led machine <br />work, wefding, steamfitting, pfumbing and boiler repair, repair chemical feeders, chiorine machines and <br />hea#ing, circulating and other pumps, repair water and steam drain lines, assisting the installation of <br />new and repairing of old steam, air, water and chemical lines. <br />Employees shall be required to maintain a vafid commercial drivers license at all times. <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic may be assigned to operate pump <br />stations and treatment plants on an assigned shift for emergency situations. This job ctassification may <br />require the operation of light automotive equipment such as a passenger vehicle and/or trucks less than <br />26,000 GWI with and without snow plow blade. A Mechanic may be required to operate tractors, <br />backhoe and front-end loaders. <br />• Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic does limited work with latches, drill <br />presses and other precision machining devises. This job classificatian also requires incidental <br />carpentry, painting, masonry and cement work. <br />? Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic are subject to twenty four (24) hour call <br />during emergency situations. <br />• Employees within the job cfassification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have knowledge of the standard <br />practices, methods, tools and materials of the mechanical trades. <br />• Ernployees within fihe job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have knowfedge of inechanical <br />principals and of equipment and machinery used in pumping and treatment of wasfiewater. <br />? Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have knowledge of the <br />occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work. <br />? Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have the knowledge of the general <br />methods and related electrical, carpentry and plumbing repairs and shall be skilled at making general <br />maintenance repairs. <br />? Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have the ability to perForm <br />mechanical tasks af a routine nature with considerable independence. <br />57
