ARTICLE 23: <br />BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br />SECTION 1: Alt employees shall be granted Bereavement Leave (not to be deducted <br />from employee's sick leave) according to the foliowing schedule: <br />a) Upon the death of an immediate family member, five (5) days; and <br />b) Upon the death of a family member, three (3) days. <br />SECTI4N 2: For the purposes of this Article, immediate family shalf inean: Husband, <br />wife, child, parent, brother or sister of employee and parents of spouse of the <br />employee. <br />Family member shall mean: Brother or sister of spouse, grandparents, grandparents of <br />spouse, grandchild as well as any relative living in the employees house. <br />ARTICLE 24: <br />JURY DUTY LEAVE <br />SECTION 1: An employee called for jury duty shall be granted a leave of absence for <br />the period of the jury service and will be campensated at full pay for absences <br />necessarily caused by the jury duty. <br />SECTION 2: Employees working the second, third, relief or overlap shifts, will not be <br />required to work on the day that the employee is on jury duty and these employees will <br />be compensated as provided in Section 1. <br />ARTICLE 25: <br />HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />SECTION 1: Safety must be a prime concern and responsibility of both parties. <br />Therefore, the Employer accepts the responsibility to provide safe working conditions, <br />and establish safe working practices for his employees. The Employer agrees to <br />furnish bargaining unit employees all equipment required and maintain all such <br />equipment in safe working conditions in order for them to fulfill their duties. <br />SECTION 2: <br />A) All unsafe working conditions must be reported by the employee in writing to the <br />employee's immediate supervisor in charge within twenty-four (24) hours of the <br />za <br />?
