<br />ARTICLE XXII <br />SAVINGS CLAUSE <br />If any provisions of this Agreement, or the appl'rcation of any provision of this Agreement should be <br />rendered or declar$d invalid by any court action or reason of any existing ar subsequently enacted <br />legisla#ioa, the remaining parts or portions of this Agreemeat shall remain in full force and effect. <br />ARTICLE XXITI <br />ASSOCIATION BUSINESS AND MEETINGS <br />23.1 Not more than five (5) members of the Association either elected ar appointed by the Association <br />for the purpose of negotiating with the Employer shall be allowed time off for all meetings with <br />the Emplayer which shalI be mutually set by the Employer and the Association. <br />23.2 The Emplvyer agrees that the Association shall be permitted to hold meetings at the Fire House as <br />tong as the meetings do not interfere with the regular activities af the Fire Department. <br />Additionally, all Association members shall be allowed to attend all Association meetings . <br />provided the Association members remain in service and receive approvai of the Fire Chief, which <br />approval shall not be nnreasonabiy withheld. <br />23.3 Such meetings must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief and are limited to members of the <br />Association, untess otherwise approved by the Fire Chiaf, which approval shatl not be <br />unreasonably withheld. <br />23.4 For the purpose of Association business, the Employer shall acknowledge a Comp Time Bank into <br />which members of the Association contribute hours. <br />23.5 The Association shall maintain an address and phone number for its official basiness separate <br />from City government addresses and phone numbers. The Association shali not use any City <br />government address or phone number for uniun or union•related business. <br />23.6 Employees elected or appointed by the Association to represent the Association may be granted up <br />to four (4) twenty-four hour shifts per year for attendance at regular and special meetings, state <br />37
