ARTICLE XXII SAVINGS CLAUSE If any provisions of this Agreement, or the appl'rcation of any provision of this Agreement should be rendered or declar$d invalid by any court action or reason of any existing ar subsequently enacted legisla#ioa, the remaining parts or portions of this Agreemeat shall remain in full force and effect. ARTICLE XXITI ASSOCIATION BUSINESS AND MEETINGS 23.1 Not more than five (5) members of the Association either elected ar appointed by the Association for the purpose of negotiating with the Employer shall be allowed time off for all meetings with the Emplayer which shalI be mutually set by the Employer and the Association. 23.2 The Emplvyer agrees that the Association shall be permitted to hold meetings at the Fire House as tong as the meetings do not interfere with the regular activities af the Fire Department. Additionally, all Association members shall be allowed to attend all Association meetings . provided the Association members remain in service and receive approvai of the Fire Chief, which approval shall not be nnreasonabiy withheld. 23.3 Such meetings must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief and are limited to members of the Association, untess otherwise approved by the Fire Chiaf, which approval shatl not be unreasonably withheld. 23.4 For the purpose of Association business, the Employer shall acknowledge a Comp Time Bank into which members of the Association contribute hours. 23.5 The Association shall maintain an address and phone number for its official basiness separate from City government addresses and phone numbers. The Association shali not use any City government address or phone number for uniun or union•related business. 23.6 Employees elected or appointed by the Association to represent the Association may be granted up to four (4) twenty-four hour shifts per year for attendance at regular and special meetings, state 37
