City of North Olmsted - Part One RFP Backaround Information 15 <br />IV. Insurance <br />The successful Proposer shall secure and maintain throughout the duration of the <br />Contract insurance of such types and in such amounts as may be necessary to protect <br />itself and the interests of the City against all hazards or risks of loss as hereinafter <br />specified. The form and limits of such insurance, together with the underwriter <br />thereof in each case, shall be required to be acceptable to the City; but regardless of <br />any City review, it shall be the responsibility of the Proposer to maintain adequate <br />insurance coverage at all times. Failure of the Proposer to maintain adequate coverage <br />shall not relieve it of any contractual responsibility or obligation. Satisfactory <br />certificates of insurance shall be filed with the City by the Proposer prior to the <br />Proposer starting any work on the Contract. The certificates shall state that sixty (60) <br />days written notice will be given to the City before any policy covered thereby is <br />changed or canceled. <br />l. WORKER'S COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYER'S LIABILITY: <br />This insurance shall protect the Proposer against all claims under applicable state <br />worker's compensation laws. The successful Proposer shall also be protected <br />against claims for injury, disease, or death of employees which for any reason <br />may not fall within the provisions of a worker's compensation law. The liability <br />limits shall not be less than the "Worker's Compensation - Statutory Employer's <br />liability." In no event shall Proposer self insure for the purposes of Worker's <br />Compensation insurance. <br />2. COMPREHENSIVE AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY: <br />This insurance shall be written in comprehensive form and shall protect the <br />contractor and the City a' aainst all claims for injuries to members of the <br />public and damage to property of others arising from the contractor's use of <br />motor vehicles and shall cover operation of all motor vehicles utilized in <br />conjunction with Proposer's performance hereunder licensed for highway use <br />whether they are owned, non-owned, or hired: The liability limits shall not be <br />less than the following: <br />Bodily injury/Property damage per occurrences-$500,000 <br />3. GENERAL LIABILITY; <br />This insurance sha11 be written on a coFninercial general liability form which <br />shall protect the conlractor and the City for thase suins the successful Proposer <br />becomes legally obligated to pay as clarnages because of bodily injury, persanal <br />injury or pioperty daizlage in association with such Proposer's performalice <br />hereunder. The linuts applicable to the conunercial general liability policy shall <br />not be less than the following: <br />Bodily Injury/Property <br />Damage Each Occurrence <br />Personal Injur_y <br />Aggregate <br />Per Person/ <br />$1,000,000 <br />$1,000,000 <br />Ag-regate $1,000,000
