City of North Olmsted - Part One RFP Backgraund Information 7 <br />III. Information System Objectives <br />City management wishes to acquire and implement software packages to satisfy its <br />needs as defined in this RFP. <br />IV. Products and Services Requested <br />This section describes the general nature of the services and products solicited, <br />including not only application software and computer hardware/peripherals, but also <br />the support services related to their installation and maintenance. <br />In aceordance with its overall objectives, the City seeks Proposals for products and <br />services from qualified Proposers in six broad areas: <br />• Application packages <br />• Computer hardware and related peripherals required to effectively utilize <br />the proposed application software <br />• Any non-application software or other items required to use the proposed <br />systems <br />• Customer support services <br />• Fit Analysis, Conversion, Training, Modifications <br />• A minimum of five years of hardware and software maintenance <br />The City reserves the right to select or reject any item or option. <br />Proposers are allowed to use subcontractors in their bids. The Proposer (prime <br />contractor) shall be fully responsible to the City for the acts and omissions of all <br />subcontractors and of persons indirectly employed by them. Any and all sub- <br />contractors must be identified in the bid. These subcontractors may be evaluated <br />under the same criteria as the prime contractor, with the exception of price. No <br />Proposer may use any subcontraetor for any portion of the System, unless such <br />subcontractor is: (1) clearly identified as such, or (2) approved by the City in writing. <br />V. General Proposer Information <br />A. Terminolagy <br />Terms used in this RFP are not intended to denote a particular Proposer and are <br />not to be construed as restrictive in any way. <br />B. Prior Informatian <br />Any inforination released orally or ili writing prior to the issuance of the RFP <br />shall be deemed preliminary and non-binding upon the City or the Proposer. <br />C. Contract Documents <br />It is understood and agreed that all or a part of the official notice for proposals, <br />instructions to Praposers, the Proposals, contract agreement, performance, <br />payment, specifications, addenda and subsequent chanffe orders issued by the City
