21.04 The benefits pmvided for in this Article are expressly in lieu of the military leave <br />benefits provided for in Section 5923.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, including the first 30-day benefits <br />contained in paragraph (A) of said Section 5923.05, for members who are calied or ordered to the <br />uniforrned services, pursuant to one of the categories of orders set forth in paragraph 21.01 above, for a <br />period or periods longer than a month, for each catendar year in which the employee performs service in <br />the uniformed seroices. This Article is not, however, intended to supplant the benefits provided in <br />paragraph (A) of Section 5923.05 for those employees who are members of the Ohio organized militia or <br />members of other reserve components of the armed farces of the United States, including the Ohio <br />national guard, who are entitled, pursuant to that paragraph, to leaves of absence from their respective <br />positions without toss of pay for the time tltey are performing service in the uniformed services, for <br />periods of up to one month, for each calendar year in which they are perfornung service in the uniformed <br />services. In addition, this Article is not intended to supplant any other military leave benefit to which <br />members may be entitled pursuant to any other section of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />ARTICLE 22 <br />UNIFORMS AND ALLOWANCES <br />Section 22.01 The employer shall establish a uniform dress code for all full-time bus operators. In <br />consideration of that dress code, the employer agrees to pay the following allowance to each bus operator <br />and dispatcher/driver in the foilowing amount as a Clothing and Cleaning Allowance. <br />Bus Operator Clothing[Cleaning allowance: <br />Effective January l, 2004 the employer will pay $550.00 <br />Effective January l, 2005 the employer wiil pay $550.00 <br />Effective January 1, 2006 the employer will pay $550.00 <br />This payment to full-time bus operators and dispatcher/drivers will be paid one-half (%2) in the month of <br />January and one-half (%2) in the month of July. Employees receiving a clothing/cleaning allowance will be <br />subject to the uniform dress cade regulations pubZished by the Employer. Failure of a.n employee to <br />compiy with the uniform dress code shall be subject to disciplinary action by the employer. Bus <br />Operators receiving payment in accordance with this Article shall also be subject to the terms and <br />conditions contained in Sections 22.05 and 22.06 of this Article. <br />Sectian 22.02 The Employer shall furnish a clean uniform to full-time mechanics, material handlers, <br />equipment servicers, and hostlers on the basis of five (5) clean unifomis each work week. Employees <br />covered by this section shall be required to wear such Employer provided uniform during working hours. <br />All uniforms pmvided by the Employer in accordance with this section shall be returned to the Employer <br />upon termination of employment. <br />Section 22.03 Mechanics and Equipment Servicers Allowance: <br />Effective June 1, 2004 the employer will pay $500.00 annually <br />Effective June I, 2005 the employer will pay $500.00 annually <br />Effective June l, 2006 the employer will pay $500.00 annually <br />Full-time Mechanics and fiill-time equipment servicers shall receive the above referenced allowance for <br />the purchase of tools and safety shces (per OSHA and/or employer standards). Mechanics and <br />Equipment Servicers covered by this section shall be required to wear such safety shoes while working. <br />Failure to wear such safety shoes sha11 subject the employee to disciplinary action by ihe employer. <br />19
