Bottom plate shall be treated Iumber. <br />(12) Sec 309 3-Floor Surface (Deleted). <br />(13) Sec 310 1. Exit Required (Amended). Not less than two exits conforming <br />to this chapter shall be provided from each dwelling unit, one of which is <br />to comply with section 311.1. <br />(14) Sec 320.2 Townhouses (Amended). Each townhouse shall be considered a <br />sepazate building and separated by separate walls meeting the <br />requirements of Section R-202. EXCEPTION: A common 2-hour fire- <br />resistive wall is germitted for townhouses if such walis do not contain <br />plumbing or meehazucal equipment, duets or vents in the cavity of the <br />common wall. Electricai installations are limited to electrical installed in <br />metallic raceways and metallic electrical outlet boxes. Metallic electrical <br />outiet boxes shall not exceed 16 square inches in surface azea. The <br />aggregate surface area ofthe boxes shall not exceed 100 square inches for <br />arty 100 square feet of wall area. Metallic outlet boxes on opposite sides <br />of walls shall be separated by a minimum distance of 24 inches. Metailic <br />electrical outlet boxes shall be installed in accordance with their iistings. <br />(15) Sec 406 -Damv vroofing(Amended). The first paragraph of Section R- <br />406.1 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Exterior foundation walls of masonry construction enelosing basements <br />shall be damp proofed by applying nat less than 3/8 inch Portland cement <br />parging to the wall from footing to finish grade. The parging shall be <br />covered with a coat of approved bituminous material applied at the <br />recommended rate.
