Bottom of footings of framing garages shall be not less than 36" below finished grade, wiless supported on a reinforced concrete slab as provided in the following paragraph. ii. Each townhouse shall be considered a sepazate building and separated by separate walls meeting the requirements of Section R-202. EXCEPTION: A common 2-hour fire- resistive wall is germitted for townhouses if such walis do not contain plumbing or meehazucal equipment, duets or vents in the cavity of the common wall. Electricai installations are limited to electrical installed in metallic raceways and metallic electrical outlet boxes. Metallic electrical outiet boxes shall not exceed 16 square inches in surface azea. The aggregate surface area ofthe boxes shall not exceed 100 square inches for arty 100 square feet of wall area. (15) Sec 406 -Damv vroofing(Amended). The first paragraph of Section R- 406.1 is hereby amended to read as follows: Exterior foundation walls of masonry construction enelosing basements shall be damp proofed by applying nat less than 3/8 inch Portland cement parging to the wall from footing to finish grade. The parging shall be covered with a coat of approved bituminous material applied at the recommended rate.
