' uxn?&rskr??r?Yw?.Swn.:?:?3xA+e _ .?.w .,.., . ; , . , . ..Ar?a.s.,. .w. ., <br />BZD Committee - Amended Version <br />No sign or other advertising structure shall have any lights or illumination that flash, <br />move, rotate, scintillate, blink, flicker, vary in intensity or color, or use intermittent electrical <br />pulses. <br />1163.24 WINDBLOWN DEVICES. <br />No sign shall contain or consist of windblown devices, such as banners, pennants, <br />ribbons, streamers, balloons and hot or cold air inflatable devices, spinners or similar objects. <br />1163.25 MAXIMUM SIGN FACE AREA. <br />(a) Maximum Sign Face Area per Lot. The total maximum sign face area permitted <br />for any lot shall be 1.35 square feet per foot of fi-ontage. For lots fronting on two or more streets, <br />each street frontage shall be calculated scparately, and such individual totals shall apply <br />separately and only to signs directed at those individual streets. <br />(b) Maximum Sign Face Area per Btiilding. Notwithstanding the area determined in <br />paragraph (a) above, the total maximum sign face area permitted for any building shall be 1.00 <br />square foot per foot of building frontage. For buildings fronting on two or more streets, the <br />building frontage shall include any fronting building face plus up to forty percent (40%) of any <br />other fronting building face. <br />(c) Maximum Sign Face Area per Building Unit. Notwithstanding the area <br />determined in paragraphs (a) and (b) above, thc total maximum sign face area permitted for any <br />building unit shall be 1.00 square foot pcr foot of building unit frontage. <br />1163.26 TYPES OF SIGNS PER?1l1T'CED. <br />No signs, other than the following types, are permitted on private property within the <br />City. The following types of signs are permitted only in accordance with regulations of this <br />Chapter: <br />(a) Ground Signs; <br />(b) Wall Signs; <br />(c) Canopy Signs; <br />(d) Window Signs; <br />(e) Flags; <br />(o Temporary Signs; <br />(g) Signs expressly exempted by Section 1163.04 of this Chapter. <br />1163.27 GROUND SIGNS. <br />(a) Ground signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, <br />except that as accessory to a conditional or overlay use one ground sign shall be permitted per <br />lot. In all other Districts, one ground sign shall be permitted per lot, except that for lots having <br />either a total area in excess of ten (10) acres or a total frontage on any ar1e street in excess of six <br />hundred (600) feet, two ground signs at least two hundred (200) feet apart shall be permitted <br />(b) Ground signs shall be set baclc at least five (5) feet from every right-of-way line, <br />at least twenty (20) feet from any side oi- rcar lot line, and at least seventy-five (75) feet from any <br />property line abutting residentially-zonccl propci-ty, and shall be located so as to conform to <br />Section 1163.17. <br />(c) No ground sign shall exceccl fi fty (50) square feet in total sign face area, nor <br />
