BZD Committee - Amended Version <br />twelve (12) feet in height as measured from either: <br />(1) The ground level at the property line nearest the sign, ar <br />(2) The ground level at the sign, whichever is higher, except that ground signs <br />no more than eight (8) feet in height shall not exceed sixty-five (65) square <br />feet in total sigiz face area. <br />1163.28 WALL SIGNS. <br />(a) Wall signs shall not be pei-mitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, <br />Single Family Cluster Districts, Multiple Residence Districts, or Senior Residence Districts, <br />except that as accessory to a conditional or overlay use one wall sign shall be permitted per lot. In <br />all other Districts, one wall sign shall be pernlitted per building, plus, if the building is <br />subdivided, one wall sign shall be pennitted per building unit, and far buildings having frontage <br />on two or more streets, one additional wall sign shall be pennitted on any secondary frontage <br />street. <br />(b) No wall sign shall project more than fourteen (14) inches from the surface or wall <br />to which it is attached. No wall sign shall extend any closer than twelve (12) inches to either the <br />top or side edges of the surface or wall to which it is attached. No wall sign shall cover or <br />obscure any wall opening. <br />(c) The total area of all signs on a building, including wall signs, shall be limited to <br />the Maximum Sign Face Area per Buildi»g as defined in Section 1163.25, and no single wall <br />sign shall exceed one hundred (100) squacc feet fll sign face area, nar four (4) feet in height. <br />(d) No wall sign shall be nearcr tlian two (2) feet to any other sign, nor nearer than <br />five (5) feet to any other building or struclurc. <br />1163.29 CANOPY SIGNS. <br />(a) Canopy signs shall not be pcrnlitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, or <br />Single Family Cluster Districts. In all otliec Districts, one canopy sign shall be permitted per <br />building entrance canopy. <br />(b) No canopy sign shall project more than two (2) inches from the canopy to which it <br />is attaehed. No canopy sign shall extend auiy closcr than lour (4) inches to either the top or side <br />edges of the eanopy to which it is attachecl. No canopy sign shall cover or obscure any wall <br />opening. <br />(c) The total area of all signs on a building, including canopy signs, shall be limited to <br />the Maximum Sign Face Area per Building as defined in Section 1163.25, and no single canopy <br />sign shall exceed fifty (50) square feet in sign face area, nor four (4) feet in height. No canopy <br />sign shall be more than five (5) feet wider than the entrance(s) over which it is located, except <br />that where two entrances are less than twcilty (20) feet apart, a continuous canopy with <br />continuous canopy sign may extend over both. <br />(d) No canopy sign shall be ncai-er tlian two (2) fcet to any other sign, nor nearer than <br />five (5) feet to any other building or sh-ucturc. <br />1163.30 BILLBOARDS. <br />Billboards shall not be perinitted in any zoning district. <br />1163.31 POLE SIGNS. <br />
