<br />BZD Committee - Amended Version <br />Pole signs shall not be permitted in aily zoning district. <br />1163.32 WINDOW SIGNS. <br />(a) No window sign shall exceed twenty-five (25) square feet in sign face area. <br />(b) The total of all window signs shall not exceed twenty-five percent (25%) of the <br />total of all window area. <br />(c) No window sign shall be ilearer than two (2) feet to any other sign, building or <br />structure. <br />1163.33 FLAGS. <br />(a) No freestanding flagpole shall exceed twenty-five (25) feet in height. <br />(b) No flagpole attached to a building shall be anchored less than fifteen (15) feet <br />from the ground, nor be attached to the roof of a building. <br />(c) No more than one flagpolc shall be pennitted for each one hundred fifty (150) <br />feet of frontage, or portion thereof. <br />(d) No flagpole shall be constructed closer to any lot line than the length of the <br />flagpole or the required building setbaclc, whichever is greater. <br />(e) No flag shall exceed twenty (20) square feet in area, or be more than five (5) feet <br />along any one side. <br />(o No flag shall hang, when fully tui furled, less than fifteen (15) feet from the <br />ground. <br />1163.34 TEMPORARY SIGNS. <br />Temporary signs shall comply witlt all applicable provisions of Chapter 1163 regarding <br />safety, maintenance and other prohibitions, and shall also comply with the additional conditions <br />and requirements contained in this section. <br />(a) Temporary Signs on Residential Property <br />(1) The only types of tenlporary signs that are permitted are ground signs and <br />window signs. All other types of signs are prohibited. <br />(2) All parcels are pei-i»itted only one (1) ground sign or one (1) window sign <br />for the purpose of advertising the premises on which it is maintained as <br />being improved, approved for development and under construction, ar for <br />sale or lease, whicl> >1iay reiliain for a period of no longer than two (2) <br />weeks from the date the ii»provement, sale or lease is completed. A <br />ground sign shall not excecd eight (8) square feet in area per face, and four <br />(4) feet above grade, and shall be set back a minimum of fifteen (15) feet <br />from any public 1-ight-oC way. A window sign sliall not exceed eight (8) <br />square feet in are?i. Neitller ground signs nar window signs may be <br />illuminated. <br />(3) All parcels are perniilted only one (1) ground sign or one (1) window sign <br />to express a"non-commercial opinion." The message on any non- <br />commercial opinion sign may be periodically changed, or the sign may be <br />replaced with anotlicr non-commeccial opinion sign provided such <br />replacement sign conlorms to the size, 1leight and location criteria set forth <br />herein.
