Employees participating and subscribing to the optional health benefits listed above within <br />this section, shall contribute an amount equal to that which is listed within Section 12.2 of this <br />Article. Employees must participate in the medical plan to be permitted to participate within the <br />optional benefit coverage listed within this section. The employee contribution sha11 be withheld <br />as a payroll deduction not later than the first pay period of each month. <br />12.4 Expected cost or premium is defined as the cost of all medical, hospital, <br />prescription drug, and related fees including, but not limited to administrative fees. <br />12.5 The employer reserves the right to esta.blish a11 plans, enrollment periods and <br />reguiations. <br />12.6 The employer shall make an earnest effort to establish a committee consisting of <br />one (1) representa.tive from each of the city bargaining units, if they choose to be represented and <br />?v <br />a minimum of one (1) representative of the employer. The bargaining unit's role as a participant in <br />the aforementioned committee sha11 be advisory only. <br />12.7 All changes affecting the plan coverage's co-payments, deductibles, providers, <br />enrollment periods and regulations will be. shared with the bargaining unit prior to making such <br />changes. <br />It is further agreed that if any bargaining unit employed by the City of North Olmsted, in <br />negotiations held subsequent to this Agreement and for the same time period covered under this <br />Agreement, negotiates ta conclusion a lower percenta.ge of employee contribution to the Health <br />Insurance Plan, that lower percentage shall apgly to the units covered under this Agreement.
