ARTICLE 15 <br />BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br />A11 employees shall be granted Bereavement Leave according to the following schedule: <br />15.1 Upon the death of an immediate family member, five (5) days; and, <br />15.2 Upon the death of a family member three (3) days. <br />15.3 For the purposes of this article, immediate family member shall mean: Husband, <br />wife, child, parent, brother or sister of employee and parents of spouse of the employee. <br />Fanuly member sha11 mean: Bmther or sister of spouse, grandparents, grandparents of <br />spouse, grandchild as well as any zelative Iiving in the employee's home. <br />15.4 Bereavement leave shall be exclusive of sick time or any other accumulated time. <br />ARTICLE 16 <br />? GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />16.1 The term "grievance" shall mean an allegation by a bargaining unit employee that <br />there has been a breach, misinterpretation, or improper application of this agreement. <br />16.2 A grievance may be filed by any member of the bargaining unit. Where a graup of <br />bazgaining unit members desire to file a grievance involving a situation affecting the group, a <br />member shall be designated by such group to process the grievance. Such grievance shall be <br />defined as a group grievance. The names of each member, on behaif of which the grievance is <br />filed, shall be made available at the first hearing. Group grievances sha11 be presented in the first <br />instance to the supervisor common to all employees in the group. The grievance procedure <br />outlined in Section 16.5 shall be used throughout. <br /> <br />23 <br />
