?- <br />??, ,. <br />Project Personne/ 5-5 <br />Managed revisions to plans and specifications and construction engineering services for seven <br />automated regulators for combined sewer overflow control in the Westerly Sewer District for the <br />Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District in Cleveland, Ohio. <br />Served as project manager for the preliminary design, final plans and specifications, and <br />construction engineering services for eight automated regulators for combined sewer overflow <br />control and for 7,286 feet of sewer pipe to eliminate 14 overflows in the Southerly Sewer District <br />for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District in Cleveland, Ohio. <br />Managed preliminary design final plans and specifications and construction engineering services <br />for a 300-foot-long tunneled sewer connection 48 inches in diameter and a 1,000-foot-long water <br />main extension 12 inches in diameter to serve the Cleveland Clinic Building in Cleveland, Ohio. <br />Water Distribution <br />• Provided design and plan review for relocating a 36-inch water main for the reconstruction of the <br />Ridge Road bridge over I-71 in Cleveland, Ohio. Examined alternatives such as construction of an <br />aerial crossing on a separate bridge and construction in the tunnel under I-71 and the adjacent <br />railroad. Prepared final plans to meet the city and state DOT standards for the open cut and <br />tunneled option of 1,000 feet of 36-inch-diameter water main. <br />• Provided design and plan review for the replacement of a 12-inch water main under the East Ninth <br />Street bridge over the Conrail tracks in Cleveland, Ohio. Prepared plans to meet state and city <br />standards for both a temporary main during bridge reconstruction and the permanent water main <br />supported under the bridge. <br />• Provided design and detail plans for 2 miles of new and relocated water mains up to 20 inches in <br />diameter for the water system in Canton, Ohio, in conjunction with the extension of US Route 30. <br />Prepared plans in accordance with DOT and city standards. <br />• Assisted with a water main master plan for Lafayette, Indiana, which involved adding looped- <br />system mains to serve rapidly growing suburban areas, rehabilitating and covering a ground storage <br />tank, and developing a new well field in the Teays River valley. <br />Water Treatment <br />Completed a needs study and preliminary design for expanding a 48-mgd lime-soda softening water <br />treatment plant to 60 mgd in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Assisted with a hydraulic evaluation of existing <br />and proposed facilities and a plant-scale evaluation of improvements to maximize the existing <br />facility's treatment capability. <br />Managed the design of a 6-mgd trident water treatment plant being considered in place of <br />rehabilitating the Notown water treatment plant in Leominster, Massachusetts. Prepared plans to a <br />30% completion level for preparation of a design/build cost proposal. Evaluated rehabilitation <br />plans prepared by others for code compliance and conforn3ance with consent order requirements. <br />Recommended adding chlorine contact tank at the distributing reservoir. <br />Managed an alternate water supply source study for 5000 gallons per minute of cooling water for <br />the Wisconsin Paperboard Corporation Mill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in preparation for the <br />removal of a Milwaukee River dam and its impounded water supply. <br />
