<br />Projecf Personne! 5-6 <br />• Designed zebra mussel control and miscellaneous repairs to the water supply intakes for the city of <br />Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Provided review and recommendations for intake crib and pipeline <br />cleaning and repairs. <br />• Provided the preliminary design for structural rehabilitation and additions to the 50-year-old buried <br />clearwell structure for the water treatment plant in Marinette, Wisconsin. Recommended baffling <br />improvements to meet CT requirements, backwash pump addirion, backflow protection for the <br />backwash supply, and control improvements. <br />• Provided the preliminary design, construction documents, and construction engineering services for <br />installing a filter backwash holding tank at the iron-removal water filtration plant in Speedway, <br />Indiana. Incorporated return pumps, piping, controls, and site improvements for the 60-foot- <br />diameter settling and decant basin addition. <br />• Participated in the preliminary design of sludge dewatering and backwash treatment for the 24-mgd <br />surface water treatment plant in Rock Island, Illinois. Added clarif'ier mechanisms to the manually <br />cleaned sedimentation basins, a backwash clarifier, and basket centrifuges for dewatering the water <br />plant sludges prior to land filling. Developed recommendations for improving the Mississippi <br />River raw water pumping priming and controls. <br />• Served as senior process engineer for preliminary designs and cost evaluations to decide between <br />combined water plant and wastewater plant sludge dewatering and separate dewatering facilities at <br />each facility in Mankato, Minnesota. Determined that separate facilities were more cost effective <br />because of relatively high conveyance construction costs. <br />Civil Engineering <br />• Managed site and civil services for design, plans and specifications, and construction services for <br />utilities, sidewalks, and roadways for three major new buildings on the 5.3-acre site adjacent to <br />Public Square and beneath a mall in Cleveland, Ohio. <br />• Served as project manager for a hydraulic study to demonstrate the feasibility of converting an Ohio <br />Department of Transportation dry stormwater detention basin into a wet retention basin in <br />conjunction with expanded on-site parking for the adjacent office park development in Brooklyn, <br />Ohio. <br />• Managed site and civil subconsultant services for a proposed office park development on a 60-acre <br />site at Tiedeman Road, I-480 in Brooklyn, Ohio. Provided site layout, roadway parking, water <br />service, stormwater drainage, sanitary sewers, and site lighting for up to 900,000 square feet in <br />potential office space. <br />• Directed an Ohio DOT 120,000-square-foot office complex in Ashland, Ohio, housing <br />200 administration, operations, construction, location and design, vehicle maintenance, carpentry, <br />parts inventory and testing lab personnel who serve the 8-county area. <br />• Served as project engineer during design and project manager during construction for a <br />100,000-square-foot off'ice and garage in Licking County, Ohio, to house 150 DOT empl oyees <br />serving the 7-county district. <br />• Directed architectural and engineering services for the replacement of a 1,500-car garage with a <br />2,300-car garage adjacent to city ha11 in Willard Park, including demolition plans for the old post- <br />??.?,??-?.?,:
