ARTICLE IV <br />DUES DEDUCTIONS <br />4.1 The Employer agrees to deduct regular monthly Association dues from wages of those Employees <br />who have voluntarily signed dues deduction authoriza6on forms pernutting such deductions. The <br />dues deducvons shall be made from the second paycheck of every month. <br />4.2 Tlie Employer agrees to deduct from the salary of airy Employee of the Fire Departnient, who is <br />not a member of the Association to pay to the Association by way of payroll deduction, a Fair <br />Share Fee. as detennined by the Treasurer of the Association but not to exceed the dues paid by <br />Association members. <br />4.3 A check in the amount of the total dues and Fair Share Fees withheld from those Employees <br />. audiorizuig dues and Fair Share Fee deductions sliall be tendered to the Treasurer of the <br />Association within fourteen days from the date of those deductions. The Employer shall supply <br />the Association with a list of those Employees for whom deduction has been made. <br />? 4.4 The Association agrees to hold the Employer harmless fram any and all liabilities and damages <br />which may arise fram die performance of its, the Employer's, obligations under this Article and <br />the Association shall indenmifv the Employer for any such liabilities or damages that do arise. <br />ARTICLE V <br />NONDISCRIMINATION <br />5.1 Thc parties to tius Agreemeiit agree to continue their policy of non-discriinination as required by <br />applicable law based on sex, race, creed, disability, narional origin or age, regarding employment, <br />employuient advancement, workuig conditions, rates of pay, acceptance into Association <br />membership or seleciion for apprentice openings. <br />5.2 The Employer and the Association recognize the right of all Employees to be free to join the <br />Association, sliould they so @esire, and to participate in lawful Association activities.
