Ch. 1331 <br />Elevator requirements - see FIRE PREV. 1701.13 <br />713.01 DEFINITIONS. <br />For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the <br />meanings ascribed to them in this section: <br />(a) "Apartment house" means a building containing four or more apartments. <br />(b) "Rooming house" means a building which has five or more rooms, or suites of <br />rooms, which are offered for use or are permitted to be used by roomers, <br />or a building containing one, two or three dwelling units with five or <br />more paying guests, the majority of whom are roomers residing with a <br />family in any one of such dwelling units. <br />(c) "Dormitory", as applied to a room, means a room used as accessory sleeping <br />quarters for nontransients. <br />(d) "Accessory sleeping quarters means a space or building which is an accessory to <br />another occupancy, and which is used for sleeping quarters for five or <br />more nontransients. <br />(e) "Nontransient" means a person who resides in the same building or quarters for a <br />period of thirty days or more. <br />(Ord. 68-199.
