Nothing in this section shall be construed as <br />limiting the Mayor's administrative discretion to determine whether to authorize or allow a <br />Director to report to work late, or leave work early, on any scheduled workday. <br />SECTION 2: That any comp time that may have been accumulated prior to the effective <br />date of this Ordinance, under any administrative policy, by any Director, shall not be used, after <br />the effective date of this Ordinance, for sick leave purposes, when accumulated sick leave is <br />available to the Director as provided for under Section 161.01 of the City's Administrative Code, <br />or as a substitute for an extended unpaid personal or sickness leave of absence when such leave <br />of absence is available to the Director as provided for under Section 161.09 of the City's <br />Administrative Code. Accumulations of comp time under administrative policy in effect prior to <br />the effective date of this Ordinance may be used only for the purpose of making adjustments in <br />the weekly or bi-weekly work schedules of such Directors. Further, no such Director shall be <br />permitted to use, in any bi-weekly period, more than sixteen (16) hours of the comp time that he <br />or she may have accumulated under any administrative policy in effect prior to the effective date <br />of this Ordinance. Finally, all such comp time, which may have accumulated under prior <br />administrative policy, shall terminate, and thereafter may no longer be either used, or under any <br />circumstances cashed out, on each such Director's anniversary date of appointment as a City <br />official or employment as a City employee. <br />5ECTION 3: That the operation of any Ordinance or administrative policy, or part of <br />any Ordinance or administrative policy, in conflict or inconsistent with any provision of this <br />Ordinance is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. <br />SECTION 4: That this legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to <br />protect the public fisc and promote continuity of vital governmental operations, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and in force immediately upon its passage by Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: /7 C, C) 3 First Reading: J W6 3 <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: r <br />A ,?_?,.,.,.? <br />ARBARA L.
