I. Take acrions to carry out the mission of the public Employer as a goveinmental unit. <br />The employer is not required to bargain on subjects reserved to the management and direction of <br />governmental unit except as affect wages, hours, terms and conditions of employment, and the <br />continuation, modification, or deletion of an existing provision of a collective bargaining agreement. A <br />public Employee or exclusive representarive may raise legitimate complaint or file grievance based on the <br />collective bazgaining agreement. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />DUES DEDUCTIONS <br />4.1 The Employer agrees to deduct regulaz monthly Association dues from wages of those Employees <br />who have voluntarily signed dues deduction authorization forms permitting such deductions. The <br />dues deductions shall be made from the second paycheck of every month. <br />4.2 The Employer agrees to deduct from the salary of any Employee of the Fire Department, who is <br />not a member of the Association, to pay to the Association by way of payroll deduction, a Fair <br />Share Fee, as determined by the Treasurer of the Association but not to exceed the dues paid by <br />Association members. <br />4.3 A check in the amount of the total dues and Fair Share Fees withheld from those Employees <br />authorizing dues and Fair Share Fee deductions shall be tendered to the Treasurer of the <br />Association within fourteen days from the date of those deducrions. The Employer shall supply <br />the Associarion with a list of those Employees for whom deduetion has been made. <br />4.4 The Association agrees to hold "the Employer harmless from any and all liabilities and damages <br />which may arise from the performance of its, the Employer's, obligations, under this Article and <br />the Association shall indemnify the Employer for any such liabilities or damages that do arise. <br />11 <br />
