ARTICLE V <br />NONDISCRIMINATION <br />5.1 The parties to this Agreement agree to continue their policy of non-discrimination as required by <br />applicable law based on sex, race, creed, disability, national origin or age, regazding employment, <br />employment advancement, working condirions, rates of pay, acceptance into Association <br />membersttip or selection for apprenrice openings. <br />5.2 The Employer and the Associarion recognize the right of all Employees to be &ee to join the <br />Associarion, should they so desire, and to participate in Iawful Association activiries. The <br />Employer and the Association agree that there shall be no discrimination by the Employer or the <br />Associarion against any Employee because of Associarion membership or non-membership. <br />ARTICLE VI <br />RULES. REGULATIONS. AND ORDERS <br />6.1 The Association agrees that its members shall comply with all Fire Department rules, regulations <br />and orders, including those relating to conduct and work performance. <br />ARTICLE VII <br />GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />7.1 Any Employee shall have the right to present a Grievance in accordance with the procedure <br />provided herein, free from any interference, coercion, restraint, discrimination or reprisal. It is the <br />intent and purpose of the parties to this Agreement that all grievances shall be settled at the lowest <br />possible step of this procedure. <br />12 <br />
